My 55 gallon still * 3

Built this thing last year and only got to use it once with my old man but was pretty pleased with the product. All in all I produced a very nice malt corn whiskey which I am proud of.

When I quit cultivating mushrooms a few years ago I picked up home brewing, although usually I have done it in the woods like this more than at home. My journey into home brewing has made me alot of cool memories and been a very rewarding and fun journey. If everything goes well this year I plan on bringing it out of hibernation for a couple runs. Enjoy these pics.

Niiiiiice! Would love to get into distilling.  Used to play around with wines and beers a while back.

My guess is he uses something like propane as the sides of the still are clean, and he'd want to avoid smoke and stank :smile:

200 liters of wash into 50 liters of wowie by the look of it, thats worthwhile :smile:

I'd love to hear more operational details also :smile:

i'd also like to hear what mash you are distilling etc and what your cuts are (ive been distilling on smaller stills for over 20 yrs on and off)  , i'd estimate on a mash that starts @12% you are going to end up with about 30 /35ltrs @ 40% once bought down to proof.
