can you eat magic mushrooms without drying them out?

so im new to foraging mushrooms and psilocybin shrooms, and i was just wondering if you need to dry them out until they look like a hogs nutsack or can i just eat them straight up? my brother (has more xp than me) said they are just more potent but isnt that good? so why do we dry out our shrooms aswell?

You can eat them fresh, yes they are more potent. We dry them because fresh ones don't store long. PAper bag in fridge can last more than a few days.

Have fun. Assume 10x dose, so 10g wet equals 1g dry.

I’ve had fresh ones stay good for about two weeks and a vacuum sealed mason jar if that’s something you’re interested in

That is a good idea 99.99

Alternatively,  the lowest of low tech teks would be to store them in a ziploc bag and to suck out the air with your mouth creating an almost vaccuum seal and store it in the fridge

Although dont expect it to last as long as the method described by 99.99
