Strange fungi at Ren Faire

Found these at Ren Faire, along with lots of other fungi.
This is wisconsin/illinos area, right on the border.




So cool but I have no idea what it could be!

First would be Artomyces Pyxidatus I believe. (Crown tipped coral mushroom).

The first one is a Phaeoclavulina - it's like Ramaria, but is saprotrophic, so can live on the wood chips without needing trees nearby.

Interesting. I see there were many species that belonged to the Ramaria genus and were moved to the Gomphaceae family. I would assume due to being saprotrophic?

Ramaria is in the Gomphaceae family, along with Phaeoclavulina, Turbinellus and about a dozen other genera.

Most Ramaria are ectomycorrhizal but not all of them.  Phaeoclavulina are saprotrophic.
