This is so fucking accurate. Every single day is a grind but now all of that effort directly benefits myself and my 2 friendbosses. On paper the tradeoff might not seem worth it but I certainly prefer it.

In the spirit of the thread I will say that I am always very fucking tired.

Yes! She made a full recovery and we've only had one sighting since then. The steps we took to cut down on the population seem to have been effective so far.

EDIT: Welp I spoke too fuckin soon. The farrier was just here to give the horses a trim and I guess she snagged one in the horse track!

My dog was listening to me so I started not holding the leash, and then one time she saw a chipmunk and chased it and didn't listen to me, although I tried a recall "come" I should have tried "stay" because she seems to know it better, but in the heat of the moment come is easier to blurt out then stay

last train I was on got delayed on account of running a homeless person over,

they didn't tell anyone tho, I only knew cause I was in the cafe car and could hear the staff talking to themselves
