Classic Penis Envy capsule size guidance

Hi all, first post here. Thankful for all the incredibly helpful information shared by this community.

I read quite a few posts about making capsules but still had questions.

I was able to acquire some "Classic" Penis Envy whole fruit. Plan is to microdose via capsules which I will make myself. Fadiman protocol to start.

I need guidance on:
- reasonable starting milligram microdose (considering PE is on the more potent end of the spectrum)
- I'd prefer to have weaker/lower dose capsules vs loading too much into one
- best size of capsule considering the above info

I plan to grind to a fine powder via coffee-style grinder and make capsules with this device: https://blated.com/products/capsule-filling-machine-100-hole

Penis envy alone is no guarantee of potency. While they "tend" to be more potent, it's not a guarantee.

There's no way to know reliably without testing, but if i was you and i didn't have any way to test it, i would ingest 2g first to know how subjective potent would it be.

25mg of psilocybin is used in scientific contexts, and are reported to give complete experiences and ego loss, or the so called "mystical state".

25mg psilocybin are generally something close to 3-5g of an average shroom.

So if you ingest 2g and you experience a very potent trip, you can deduce that these PE you have are something close to 2x more potent than an average shroom, and you can start doing the math based on that.

Still, if you are doing microdosages for therapeutic reason, i would say to you that there's actually more data and logic on microdosing being useless and possible harmful than having any benefit. So keep in mind that this is not approved by science, and that you could have adverse effects in long term usage, so doing check ups on your health regularly specifically for your heart is recommended.

I started with .1g and move up by .1g until there was a perceived reaction and then go back down .1 and use that dosage. I need to grind my next batch for capsules to be more consistent between different parts of the mushroom

this works too.

picking all flushes and turning into powder is good to homogenize the dosage. it can also have some variation between batches(like, all flushes combined but from different grows), so maybe you will have to test it again sometimes.

too much hassle for too little benefit in my opinion, but anyone is free to do anything. i still keep my advice in checking your heart health regularly just to be safe.

Why does every thread Chiron098 post in end up off topic? I wouldn't stress about the heart stuff unless you have a diagnosed condition. Get a regular physical and dont worry about it unless you need to.

I do have high BP controlled with meds. My BP has actually gone way down since starting

psilocin has a high affinity for the 5-HT2B receptor(more than the 5-HT2A receptor that gets you high), which is found on heart valves. chronic activation of this receptor has been associated with valvular fibrosis for some drugs, so there is a theoretical concern that long-term microdosing could carry a similar risk.

the key point is that valve fibrosis generally develops after repeated receptor activation over long periods, which is why this concern mainly applies to chronic use rather than occasional macrodoses.

like i said, this is only a theoretical risk at the moment. there is no direct evidence that psilocybin microdosing causes valvular heart disease in humans. still, if i were microdosing regularly, i would check my heart regularly. it doesn't hurt to be on the safe side and care for your health.

now in my personal opinion, i don't think microdosing is worth it. the evidence for its benefits is mixed, with some placebo-controlled studies finding no significant advantage over placebo. this combined with the cardiovascular risk, i'd rather avoid it. but that's just my interpretation of the current evidence, and you can do anything, i'm just saying to take care of yourself.
