Uhh, yeah actually. That would be the common sense choice. Unless you happen to be a literal fucking monster creeping among us.

Also, what the fuck are you talking about? "Resorted"? I didn't "resort" to anything you just have no idea what words mean.

resort /rĭ-zôrt′/
intransitive verb
To turn to or make use of a person, strategy, or course of action for help or as a means of achieving something.
"The government resorted to censorship of the press."
To go, especially customarily or frequently; repair.
To go; to repair; to betake one's self.
Similar: resorted

I think America losing its top Numero Uno superpower position in the world, will actually be a good thing for America (and everybody else). It's too much pressure to be on top, everyone is gunning for you and you have to expend enormous resources to maintain your borders. Better to contract, face reality, contribute something worthwhile to the world.

Winning is fun. But losing is good for the soul.

So you're saying it's all going to work out in the end?

I mean, we're all gonna die regardless, but yes everything is gonna be just fine. I'm learning to appreciate "losing" myself. I'm learning to appreciate losing myself, myself.

Ehh. Retreating to "we're all going to die anyways". Gross. Yes we'll all die, but some will die more comfortable than others.

Usaid cuts alone are projected to kill like 15 mil people. You'll be fine though. No worries.

I'm not sure if you are implying that there is no hope that thing's will "work out". If that's the case, what's the point in trying? I'm a big believer in "memento mori". The fact that I am going to die, no matter what, helps me to find the courage to make difficult choices and practice terrible compassion.

I don't see how America losing status in the world means that others can't step up to the plate to help those who are suffering, or that America can't still help according to its own capacity, however diminished.

The details of losing status might be important. Hospitals are going to close. People will lose their supports and lots of them are going to die.
I am considering the experiences of those who will suffer the most when I say it's not going to work out. 15 mil people snuffing it isn't what I'd call working out, but if we're just concerned about human DNA making it into the future then yes it'll probably work out.

Disagree.  There is still a zero sum game and those 15 million will be amoung your country men. We only rebuilt Germany economy after ww2 with slow slavery to spite Russia. Humanity is only compensation to others is in spite to others.

America is going to still have plenty of resources and will be able to help Africa, if it chooses to. All I'm saying is that America doesn't have to be number one. It can be number 2 in a multi-polar world.

Nah, folks like you are just sociopaths, engaged in suicidal isolationism.

Luckily we have some recent examples of how dumb that is.

Dumbfucks: "Why are we paying millions of dollars to grow worms in some other country?"
OOPS NOW WE HAVE A SCREWWORM INFESTATION HERE, instead of millions its gonna take billions of dollars to fight and cover the damages.

Dumbfucks: "Why are we paying to fight ebola and aids in other countries?"
SO WE DONT HAVE EBOLA AND AIDS HERE, DISEASES SPREAD ACROSS BORDERS.

We are not alone in the world. We are connected to the world, we affect the world, the world affects us.

"Just let em die, just let em starve" is not good enough. You hate immigrants? Migrants migrate because they are starving and thirsty. ((And they are starving and thirsty because of how our imperial system has exploited them))

You take the food and water away and then act surprised when they break your door down. Or, you give them seeds and build a well.

There are people who are called pathological altruists or telescopic philanthropists, who are generous to the point of giving until it hurts. That's arguably an example of the Freudian death urge. I think, that neurotic kind of person might be calmed, paced, and encouraged to find a useful outlet in service to others.

There are life paths like that. It's benevolent.

Other professions require risk or hard numbers or cannot be held to primary aggressor doctrine. You weanies would be putting innocent lives in danger.

Recognizing a pattern of self-righteous interference at the taxpayers expense
is the opposite of suicidal isolation.

Id call that an outlier case. Of course we’re going to give a hand in that situation.

Ill concede that point to you though

Overpopulating them until theyre reliant on us for food is even worse.

I have no problem with the legal migrants.  I have a problem with illegal aliens.

Lynnch said:

they are starving because we gave them food and water and now theyre overcrowded.

Theres no food and water because there was too many of them. Giving them food and water insures that there will still be an overcrowding situation.
If you want to show them how, whatever.  Build it for them and theyll never do it themselves.

There are several reported examples of the captive race multiplying under what are called genocidal conditions or colonialism, where the feudal lords would not have prioritized their own self interest, begging serious questions about reparations.
