Hello

You can get free food from food stores from their garbage containers

You can go right after they close

Or in the morning

In the winter it keeps very well

Also a little in the fall and spring

Its legal

No problem

You just get good free food and save a lot of money

Dumpster diving isn't legal in all state. Beware of places that have security guards on property. They have the right to pull you out of dumpster and cluff you for your safety until police arrive. I work security so I've had to do this to many people.  So I recommend kroger dumpsters at 5 a.m. since that usually early enough to not be caught and late enough to not be stopped by police at 3am. Avoid meats,pit fruits and cake mixes.

Good point about checking the local laws and avoiding private property issues. I'd also add that if a dumpster is locked or fenced off, that's usually a pretty clear sign to leave it alone.

I wasn't getting food, but here at Kroger, I was racking up on free plants that they were throwing away.

Well, to make a long story short, I was doing this a couple of times per week, then Thursday a car pulled up, and a Kroger manager got out and took a picture of me and the license plate of the car that I was in.

I don't know what is going to happen with all that, but needless to say in the states most places will not allow you to dig through their dumpsters and I imagine you can get prosecuted.

I'd be really careful. If I were you guys.
