I've been to the museum, but only once with my family when I was 13, 28 years ago. I don't remember that one.

The airforce base.

My Father in Law was convinced they had alien bodies in some underground facility attached to that place. He was in construction and did some kind of work there.

Also, I'm personally convinced the army used it to smuggle heroin into the U.S. shortly before the heroin epidemic began.

That’s a very interesting theory because I also lived in Dayton near Wright Patt and we had a head start on the heroin epidemic. It was so pervasive. I lost an entire friend group of metalheads during that time.

Also, the whole Real Area 51 situation is pretty rad

I'm not too far from Dayton and it was super bad here early as well.

But if you think about it, why the fuck were we really in Afghanistan so long? Number one heroin producing region at the time. No customs at the AFB....

Suddenly after the Afghan invasion heroin is everywhere, when no one was into it before?

Yeah...

Oh yeah they took over all the poppy farms and replaced everything with Monsanto poppies.

How close to Dayton are you? I wonder if we ever crossed paths.

Cincinnasti baby.

It's possible, we're definitely in the same age group.

But I guess probably not unless you went to Cincy sometimes, clifton or Northside parties were wild, sometimes big as fuck.

I did go down and party in Cincinnati occasionally so it's entirely possible.

I've seen some decent shows at Bogarts. I knew a dude who lived right across the street who let me draw a big ass dinosaur on the wall behind his couch.

Actually partied in a lot of houses by there. That's Clifton area BTW.

Haha, that would be sweet though Kevin. Maybe at one point we were like

For most of the normies out there, an operating system is just a bootloader for Google Chrome.

And I don't know what the mantis is praying for
But he's probably just thanking the Lord
That he don't live in a home
And he don't got a phone
And he don't sit around all angry and bored
(He's just a bug)

Just set a boundary with someone. Just said I feel for them but I don't have the capacity to talk about their issues at the moment.

It felt really fucking wrong.

My best friend talked me through it hes a good person.

I have reflected and decided I only have the capacity to truly care for about 8 people. 4 of my closest friends and 4 of my closest family. I am open to others being a part of this group but it's a difficult thing. Even 8 feels wildly spread. And only 4 of these people I see regularly (mum, sister and 2 best friends).

I'm hoping it is helpful for my burnout. I am realising I'm not the person I once hoped to be, all caring and such. I wish people the best but I won't go out of my way for them except to ask them if they are okay when they are upset and then to find them a friend or professional to help. For my close friends I will care beyond that.I do care just not for people I don't care. And that's why I've poo pooed nursing lol

OPT: got the bloodwork back for the snake bitten dog and it looks like she’ll make a full recovery. Her paw is still pretty swollen but she’s officially on the mend.
