I've got several species of trichos and I'd say it's probably a trich but I have no clue what it is. There are hundreds of species. Try going to a cactus site and comparing with the photos.

it seems you've got it.
there are so many variations, it's hard to know what is a natural hybrid or a pure population specimen...
from trades i've got at least 4 different torch types... (not counting monstrose varieties)...
btw, nice crested euphorbia in the background.
