 Any Metal Heads on these here message boards?

I listen to just about any kind of music. i like the dead, and many other jam bands, i like some rap, i like some rock. but my main love is metal. Black metal, Death metal, Power Metal, Dark metal, Doom/stoner Metal, just about any good metal.
it just doesn't seem like most metal heads are into the whole psychedelic scene, and i was wonder if i was the only one or not, cause sometimes i feel a little left out when everyone is passionately arguing about the dead or phish.
I consider myself fairly above average in the intelligence department. I don't trip "to get fucked up". i use psychedelics for mind expansion. the best trip i ever had in retrospect was the only "bad trip" i ever had. it was one of the best learning experiences for me. I don't like that sometimes people automatically assume im stupid or on a lower level of intelligence because of my love for metal. but alas....
as much as i love metal, i shall shed my metal appearance next weekend and bask in the glory of the dead, for 2 beautiful summer days.

4 genres is not any kind of music!
I like some metal, the ones that everyone knows like Metallica, Jack Off Jill, Nine Inch Nails, Machine Head and RATM etc.

i only named four genres. trust me on this one, i listen to just about everything, it just seems like latley all i listen to is metal.
btw Jack off jill, nine inch nails, and ratm is not metal...... and metallica and machine head are dinosaurs.

one thing about metalheads is their pickiness on whats classified as what. and also the bandwagon bashing of mainstream bands. lol its old. i remember back in the day when i was into stuff like children of bodom, cannibal corpse, cradle of filth, megadeath, crazy shit like that.
i've grown out of that stuff though. oh well. i used to be able to scream like some of those singers. har har.

well im a dead head and im a member of one of the most goofy all around weird bands i know off
even though im not a metal fan we hav sevral metal songs
we also have jam songs
regea songs
weird ass songs
im willing to get down with any thing at leased once
mettle just isnt my favorite

One of our PUB mods plays bass in a metal band...I recieved all the head banging i could handle in the late `70s in a little honky tonk called Gilleys

Hi fellow metalhead,
It sure is true that people think metalhead are dumb and I aint the best to describe how much we aint cause I am french and cant show all my intelect on these board with my poor english.
But needless to say, theres a least some intelligent metal listener out here. The most brilliant 1 in my opinion is Shroomism.
Maibe ya should come over to OTD and then ya wont have to care about what other people think of your intelect.The best thing about OTD(off-topic discussion board) its the hell of a fun we guyz have over there. Just be prepare to meet Goatse, granny and tubgirl.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.
