When I still lived at home, we started noticing a few gnats.  It wasn't a big deal as you would always see a stray one now and then.  But this started to get crazy.  We thought they were somehow coming up through the drain in the sink so we started filling the sink with water.  For over a week we tried without success to locate the source while it kept getting worse and worse.

Finally I come home one day and my mom says she is gonna kill me.  When we had pizza one day, I put it in the oven to keep in warm.  I completely forgot about it and we rarely used the oven, so it wasn't even investigated.  It had formed a tight enough seal that they could only get out in small numbers, but when she opened it, THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS swarmed out.  I had to run around the house with a fly swatter and flying bug spray for a few days to finally get rid of them all. 

I was never the same after breathing all that bug spray.  :sad:

That is truly DISGUSTING.  Sounds like something I would inadvertantly do, too.  :tongue:
