The GROSSEST thing just occured **EDIT: now with PICS!* *
    #2931554 -

Okay, for a few weeks I was noticing alot of fruit flies and bugs around the house.  I couldn't figure out where they were coming from.

Then one day, I noticed a foul odor emanating from underneath my bed.  I take a peek and discover two casings that I had unthinkingly shoved under there when they contaminated.  I meant to throw them away, but they've been sitting there for at least three months.

So I pulled them out and dumped them into the trash can...

...and a FLOOD of little black bugs swarms up into the air, nearly into my face.  I stifle a scream and then look in the trashcan and see LOADS of tiny squirming maggots and other disgusting bugs of decay in the contamed casing material.

I nearly BARFED.  And the smell was odious, brown slime everywhere.  Oh my god, I've never encountered something so gross in my entire life.  If I wasn't so sickened, I would have grabbed my camera to share the gruesome sight with you all.  I went nuts with copious amounts of lysol and disinfectant directly afterward.

Throw away your contamed casings, kids.  Do not do as I did!  I still don't know what compelled me to shove them under the bed in the first place.

LOL!!!

Thats funny. Reminds me of a time I opened up a tin lunch box with sandwitches a year old inside! A burst of thick sickening smoke blew into my face (I swear it was GREEN!) and yeah... I RAN and almost barfed! I had my mom take away the lunch box, i dared not see it again. Traumatizing.

Anyway, whats up ellemy? Enjoying the summer vacation?

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Sick. My sister stayed at my house once when i was out of town, and I she ate some kind of meat and left part of it in my sink, when I tried to pick it up with a disposable utensil to throw it away (didn't have a disposal at the time), it burst a green cloud of fungal spores into my face. UUUUUUGH. It gives me heebie jeebies to think of it.

Not that I don't love fungus or anything, of course, but I had never seen the green cloud effect emenating from an old cheeseburger. And the fact that I'm vegetarian made it worse. :frown:

But that is crazy you had it under your bed. :rotfl:

Maggots can't hurt ya, no reason to be grossed out or scared or whatever of them. But yeah, good advice, throw shit away when you're done with it.

Yukky. I ate a ton of boletes a couple days ago which I keep thinking had invisible baby maggots in them. But I enjoyed them with a feeling close to relish because I couldn't see the maggots.

I'm kind of glad you didn't! That sounds nasty! My friend once threw up on a heater in a bar, in the middle of winter no less, and I couldn't imagine much worse than that... until this post  :crazy2:

Thank God for Lysol.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

That's pretty terrible. I had an encounter with maggots too, a few days back. I hadn't taken the old trash out of my garbage cans for about a week. It was a very rainy week and the bags had rips in them. I'm sure you can picture the rest.

I don't know if I got a pic of the maggots or not. I certainly wasn't going to dig around in there to find them.

And a pic of my cat chilling to make up for all the grossness:

I hope I never have to encounter something like that again. *shudder*
