It's not so much that Russia is inept, or stupid, or anything. The fact of the matter is, its an ever changing world, and if a Navy is in port very near to your country, you can destroy their ships with modern tech. It's not so shocking or crazy tbh.

I agree, it’s the latter.
Because in a war, the more adaptable one is the person who comes out on top most of the time. And Russia has proven to be incredibly inept and unwilling to change their tactics. Thus we have the term “meat waves” being thrown around.

You should ask Kryptos how he feels about that mischaracterization of slavic people... The racist "Slavic hoardes"/ meat waves nonsense.

Ukraine using drones on Russia's navy has nothing to do with Russia's "poor strategy"... If you want to call Russia stupid, there are plenty of good examples of them acting stupid, like shooting their own planes down. The navy thing isn't a good example.

I think, going forward, drones are going to be a problem for every navy... and a powerful navy may be less of an advantage in modern warfare, than it has been in the past.

I know what you're saying. It's been said of Russian people for a long time.

I was talking to Kryptos at one point on this forum, and he said something about the "Slavic Hoardes" description being racist, so I looked into it. I had always believed, because I was told, that the Russians sent unarmed men to fight in Stalingrad, as if they had no regard for the lives of their own people. 3 men for every rifle... shit like that. "When one dies you take his rifle"... Its all bullshit.

There was a supply chain problem that meant there wasn't enough equipment for everyone. I forget the exact situation, but it didn't go down the way I have always been told.

That story persists still today though.
