Assuming this is directed at me, my point is that both parties are fascist and the democrats will sacrifice trans people just as swiftly as they’ve cast aside those other groups demonized by the right.

The proper response would be to defend all these people, not just cheer it on until it affects you personally.

I grew up in an environment where shame, and fear were used to control my behavior.

Those are powerful tools. We just have a lot of people who would be ashamed to wear a dress, or write a poem, but extremely proud to shoot a black person, or smack their wife.

No amount of voting is going to fix that.

What about shame?

What if people were afraid to be Christian? What if it was embarrassing?

What if people were ashamed of tradition?

What if people who like power and control could be mocked, socially isolated, humiliated, denied personal agency, dehumanized and terrorizes, until they kill themselves. Then we mock them for that too.

I can tell you first hand, it's been effective in suppressing queer people.

What if, as a thought experiment, we apply to people who deserve to be suppressed?

Effective in what regard?

People who excell at violence, are not smarter than others, not more ethical. Whatever they achieve through violence, they destroy in kind.

A society built around violence, will always be haunted. Always be cursed. Every time we turn on the news, and we see another school shooting, or another cartel execution, we are paying the price of that curse.

We have effectively shit on every single corner of where we eat, through violence.

That's what it's effective for.
