problems hunting in north carolina
    #2820909 -

ok , im located in north carolina and this is my first summer huntin from shrooms , our group has found a couple of cow fields , specifically some black angus cow fields

we would wait until after it rains , mayby a day or two for them to grow and hit up the fields at wee hours in the mornin lookin for Psilocybe cubensis

the problem is, we usually get shit outta luck, we find mayby 3-5 caps that are any good in our opinion , 1-3" wide cap(although they can grow alot bigger if we find them), yellow on top to white outside, blue/black gills underneath, growing directly out of cow shit, and turn blue when handled roughly

when we try to keep them overnight they almost always turn to mush by the next morning , and usually theres like little worm things and mites in the caps too

most of the time we just find dozens of little shitty caps about like 1/4 - 1/2 big that are really white, i personally dont eat them but some other people in our group does

we know some other groups where we live that go out shrooming too and they usually find large finds, atleast 2 big bags, there pretty shady tho when it comes to helping us out , id personally like to whoop all there ass , but that would just cause problems

thats basically it, we've been out shroomin atleast 6-10 times and each with varied results , but mostly the same like i said above, would anyone like to give some advice without flaming lol

YES i have read the ENTIRE HUNTING FAQ, and for the most part about 75% of the growing faq , but that looks to complicated for our simple durty sizzouth minds

(i know this post is kinda crappy but i havent had alot of sleep tryin to find all these mushrooms  :mad2: )

the faq said to put them over wire netting , we dont really have that, so we just put them in a shoe box , and the next morning its like the mites and worms just ate them all up overnight or something...

are we just hitting bad fields?

Are you able to put them in the fridge??? That would solve your problem.

i heard somewhere that you have to eat like an oz of them wet ?
a friend and i literally ate a handfull of the little shits and amazingly dident puke , but all it gave us was a small head change, like things were more clear but thats it, and when we eat the big cubes sometimes nothing happens

im almost 100% positive they were cubes , some people would say they tripped, while I and others dident , i dont know, i assume mayby the potency was low in the ones i ate or something, were heading out there tonite becouse it poured last night ... ill bring my camera and take pictures directly off the field but we might not...

last time we were up there me+my buddies saw a shadow figure walkin by... scared the poop out of us , but he/she dident do anything

If they don't get you high they obviously aren't cubes, there are much better ways to identify what you're looking for that don't involve eating random unidentified mushrooms, read up.

If you don't know *exactly* what they are and why, don't fucking eat them.  "Almost 100% positive" doesn't cut it.

Seriously man, you're playing with fire, use your head before you end up poisoning yourself trying to trip .  If you post pics and a good description we can help you figure out what they are.  Until then,

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS BEYOND ANY SHADOW OF A DOUBT, THEN DON'T EAT IT!!

Tripping is nice and all, but it's really not worth the risk you're taking by going about things the way it sounds like you are.
