Out of Season Mushrooms in San José del Pacífico

Hi. I live in Mexico, I'm considering visiting San José del Pacífico, Oaxaca. If anyone has experience in the town, please share it. I know little about magic mushrooms and I have a few questions.

* What key questions should I ask when I'm buying them to know if the vendor is legit? Literally everybody sells shrooms there and I don't want to get scammed.
* Is it hard to preserve the shrooms native to that area? I assume the natives have the knowledge to preserve them, but I don't want to go if they're too weak for a full level 4 or 5 trip.

Any information would be useful. Thanks.

I'm back from San José del Pacifico.

I bought a strong dose of dried mushrooms (tea) from La Cabaña, where the locals recommended. I didn't see any visuals. I had a slight loss of my sense of self and felt love for everything. It also caused my heart to beat rapidly which ruined the rest of the trip. The others there also reported rapid heart rate.

The shrooms were very expensive. It's better to wait and go during mushroom season when they're fresh.

If they are in a drowning in honey that is natures only 100% effective preservative. Get a sealed container of honey and it quite literally never goes bad. If it hardens just put it in a warm water bath for ten minutes and it will be good.

That said, since its a well known tourist area. Expect to pay out the ass.
