Different varieties
    #28135520 -

Hi all, I’ve grown cubes successfully a handful of times. I have the opportunity of getting my hands on some LCs of some Jack Frost, Melmak TP, and AMVP. While I know a cube is a cube, is there a difference from these varieties or are they just cubes? Will I be able to grow them using the same methods?  What about after harvest, can I do prints or would I have to keep an agar culture to keep them going?

You can run them the same as any other cube. Jack Frost is a neat albino with a wide range of phenotypes. Melmak TP grows monsters, it's probably top 3 large fruit producing varieties. AMVP is another cool albino that can grow some pretty big fruits as well.

You don't need to keep a culture going on agar. None of these varieties drop enough spores to take prints so you would need to get some sterile swabs and swab the gills when they're mature and sporulating. Or you can wrap qtips in foil and sterilize them in your PC but I much prefer just buying sterile swabs.
