I don't normally get sick, but school has been stressing me out this semester, so I'm sure my immune system is down. Anyway, I had been feeling tired after waking up Wednesday morning. I noticed I had post nasal drip and a random dry cough. Felt tired/low energy all day and then noticed my throat got a little scratchy. Later on that night I started to get a headache, then some muscle aches. I took my temp at work and it was 99.3, not normal for me. I'm usually in the 97.6 range. By 7:30 I was getting chills and probably had a low grade fever. I woke at 1:30 am sweating.

The cough has gotten worse and it sounds almost barky, not that high pitched croup cough, but that "harnnnn" sound. What the hell is wrong with me? No runny nose, no colored snot, no GI issues. Took a covid test yesterday morning, negative. Just feeling tired AF with a cough. Never had anything like this before, the cough is what is different.. like my larynx is inflamed.

I have never had the flu to my knowledge. This just seems like some weird respiratory bug. Doesn't seem like a cold..

Anyone had anything like this? I swear every time I go out soo many people are coughing. Seems like everyone is sick or getting over being sick.

My mom has smoked for like 40 years or something and has a nasty cough, especially when she smokes weed

Tbh your symptoms are much closer to covid than the flu or rsv

The first day I felt sick my rapid test had an extremely fast thick test line, maybe I was sick before then and would have tested negative I dunno

I woke up last Tuesday with clogged sinuses. Tested negative. On Thursday I tested positive. My friend who almost certainly got infected at the same time as me didn’t test positive until Friday. I tested positive on Monday and negative on Wednesday. lost my sense of smell Friday night and it came back on Wednesday.

Despite being around my mom all day last Thursday, she once again has totally avoided getting infected. 87 years old and seems totally incapable of getting covid :shrug:
