Detailed Newb 5 Strain Grow * 1

I been lurking for years here. I have read and watch tons of videos on different ways to grow. My first will be PFTEK. But I didn’t buy a pressure cooker, and I tried two different recipes for my cakes.

Spores were syringes and of the following: Penis Envy #6, Blue Meanie, Acadian Coast, Golden Teacher, and B+. (All cubes)

I sterilized my jars with a Intant Pot and stove top. I have heard mixed results, so I figured I’d do both.

I made my own brf cause not a single store sold it, and I didn’t want to wait for Amazon.

2 cups brown rice in a good blender will make about 1.5 cups flower.

My cake mixes were:
2:1:1
Verm:Water:BRF

1.5:1:1.5
Verm:BRF:Water


Instant pot: metal rack on the bottom, 2 cups of water, HI pressure for 90mins. Then, I let cool overnight.

Stove: I placed jars in lids so they weren’t touching the pan, 2 cups of water, brought to a boil, and covered/simmered for 90mins. I didn’t run out of water, and kept a good steam going. Let cool overnight.

Inoculated 12 jars w/1cc in my homemade still air box. If you need to know how to make one there are a bunch of ways on here or YouTube.

5 days after inoculation mycelium is starting on Acadian Coast, Golden Teacher, Penis Envy & B+. Acadian appears very aggressive cause it has much more mycelium than the others.

Pictures and Updates to come. I’m curious to see if I can successfully sterilize the way I did. Some people say you can and other say you cannot. Hope I’m lucky.

Day 10

Acadian Coast is doing the best. Not sure if it’s slow progress.. I’m happy as a hippo to even see progress!
