Biggest Ecstasy overdose kills teenager
By Tosin Sulaiman

AN A-level student who collapsed at a party after taking at least 11 Ecstasy tablets died of the biggest overdose of the drug recorded, an inquest heard yesterday.

Post-mortem tests revealed the level of Ecstasy in Jack Elliot?s blood to be 10,420 micrograms per litre of blood.

The highest previous level recorded was 7,720 micrograms per litre of blood and was found in a patient who had allegedly taken 42 tablets, according to Dr Adnan Al-Badri, who carried out Mr Elliot?s autopsy at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.

Mr Elliott, who was 17, was at an all-night party at a friend?s home in Curdridge, near Southampton, in March. When his friends discovered him in the morning, he had stopped breathing. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene. Friends said that Mr Elliott had taken at least 11 Ecstasy tablets. Dr Al-Badri told The Times: ?It is very possible that he took only 11 tablets, but the strength of Ecstasy in them was very, very high.?

that dude was a total lightweight

I've taken more than 10 tabs in a night and not died.  these days you almost have to eat that many pills to get off.

I miss the wafers :frown:

how many mg per pill =b. It said dosing was high, because the first guy ate 42 of a lower dose pill.

I dunno....if you popped 11 or more gelcaps with bout 150 mgs in em on an empty stomache.....i would suppose you could die from it.
Sounds about the right concentration too.
And the ecstasy might not have been so pure, just more of it.

He's still an idiot.

And it says at least. It's a good possibility he took more than 11 tabs

Though if the E was that strong, then one or two tabs would have you rolling fucking nice. Wonder why he took so many more, if not just for showing off or to see how fucked up he could get

I remember i was selling tabs at a rave once when one of the security dudes came up to me and asked me to buy a tab. I thought it was a set up until he showed me his eyes, which had no color in them. He had eaten 8 tabs already that night. I sold him one for $10 and he kept bringing me business the whole night!

but yeah, once the intial rush of the first couple tabs has worn off, each successive tab hits you less and less hard. I've watched people eat 10+ good tabs in a night, I've even done it myself, though I wouldn't recommend it because thats how I cracked my back molar in twain.

but I could never eat more than one of the old tabs they had in the mid and late nienties. Those things were killing people. The lab that made them was in Dallas, where I live. It used to be in Dallas, you could get like 500 mg of MDMA at a bar in a little paper cup. Legally. Then some senator's daughter had a brain hemmorage or something because of that shit. She died, and then they criminalized mdma and shut the lab down. But they had such a huge backstock that those tabs were still around for like 10+ years afterwards. I remember they were the size of nickels, and they were white with yellow specs. Very little binder, they were chalky as fuck. We called them 'wafers' cuz they looked like communion wafers.

Thats because contents vary and peeps ASSUME and base their dosage on the number of pills they take instead of reality., like you ... then go and hook up with other stuff and think are doing the same dose and od... Keep that thought pattern up and you;ll be right next to him ....

It is a VERY IMPORTANT POINT that you should NEVER ASSUME that all dosages are the same in street drugs. This is the way people die. I have seen this happen more times than I care to think about with heroin, but the same is true for almost all drugs.

People need to respect drugs and exercise caution...
