I have COVID-19. I don't know if there are any old ex-junkies around who has had cotton fever but all last night was pretty much just like cotton fever. It literally felt like I had just gone through a bunch of old cottons trying to leach out a hit and winding up getting wacked by the cotton fever. It was like a severe hangover, body pain aching, bad headache with back of eyeballs hurting when I look down, extreme shivering.

But this morning I feel a lot better. One solid night, very sick. I can see why people would go to the emergency room, for a brief period it gets extreme. I was also sick with COVID in December 2019. This means this was probably the omicron.

I'm not sure if taking the boiled grapefruit peel extract helped but I've been taking that. I've also been using kratom to relieve pain and aches.
I've been drinking kefir and a beet kvass I made a couple months ago. I've also regularly been drinking a really strong turmeric and ginger tea which I make grinding the fresh roots myself.

Would I have been sicker, longer without all the stuff I've been taking? IDK but I think it helped, probably a lot since my wife refused to to use most of it and she's been in bed for a week. I'm basically recovered and she's still in bed. Now I have natural immunities upwards of 400%+ more effective than any vaccine.

Tuesdaynq January 18th - friend visits her mother

Wednesday January 19th - I go to friends house

Thursday Januaryn 20th - I go home

Sat January 22 - friends mother tests positive for covid

Just found out after going out and about today, I should be quarantined

Isolate if you get sick. Quarantine for questionable exposure is overkill. She likely was exposed or started shedding after the visit. Omicron is only 2-3 day incubation.

Car crashes aren't contagious, aren't largely avoidable with a simple vaccination, and don't kill hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. There are entire organizations, laws, and government iniatives based around trying to prevent impaired driving. Any time there's a school shooting and kids die there are anti-gun protests all over. There aren't anti child abuse protests because child abuse is already illegal.

Hundreds of thousands of people have died from drivers who were very aware they risked killing others.

Nobody really cares.  The virtue signalers don't even pretend fake outrage about these deaths.

About 50 million people die every year.  Nobody cares how the numbers break out.

I protested outside the courthouse when a local POS got a light sentence for killing his gf's kids. My picture was in the paper holding a sign saying "Bring back the death penalty"
Most people who comment about ignoring child abuse in a Covid discussion are tinfoilers who want to talk about imaginary child abuse like pizzagate or Wayfair.

Craziness....

Help me to better understand the other side of this argument.  Those of you who believe we should force vaccines on everyone and have vax passports or contact tracing microchips or whatever else, what exactly is the end goal? 

Do we still think we can eradicate covid?

Isn't it going to become endemic at some point no matter what?

Is all control we're surrending to groups of people,  who don't have the best moral track record historically, really worth the lives you think we might save?

It becomes endemic when everyone has immunity. We could have been there six months ago, but we have too many fucking crybabies. The fact that covid is still stressing the economy and healthcare delivery is entirely due to the irresponsible and selfish behavior of people who won’t get vaccinated.

According the the Euro branch of the WHO, Europe is almost done with the pandemic

Everybody is getting Omicron and nobody is dying

Kids (5-11) who already had Covid are now formally advised to not get vaccinated



On to next crisis, war in The Ukraine and the Russians shutting off the gas supply :facepalm:

Many states are now seeing the highest numbers of deaths in the entire pandemic because we have terrible vaccination rates.
