What are you on about?  His financials are already public information.  I am alarmed that the individual introducing this act, as a member of the government, does not know how to access that information.  Explains why these people are so often wrong about everything, if they do not know how to find the information they are looking for.  You would think one of their assistants would know how to access publicly available information at least :ducklol:

And on a serious note, deaths in my state are the lowest I've seen since all this started.

I'm not upset. what state are you in? because deaths were pretty low at the start of this. Also, your opinions and intentions are pretty clear man. You don't have to pretend not to be a troll with reading troubles. I forgot the names of most of the other posters like you, so I'm hoping you'll stand out eventually or post something real. I'd definitely settle for quality trolling at this point though. I'm starting to forget what a hamhead post looked like.

ROFL. Looking at a single day count on a holiday weekend is not a good way to count deaths. PA deaths are high and growing. scroll back a few days or look at the 7-day average. Type "covid deaths in PA" into google and look at the graph.

You're missing a lot with that math. I'm not sure why, but death reporting seems to lag on the weekends. it's pretty consistent across that graph for PA. you can see the dips that happen around weekends. You're better off using a 7 day average if you want to do a half-assed estimate, but it's better to rely on the numbers that are published in the literature since epidemiologists do this shit for a living and know how to model it.

It's really mind-blowing the way you guys distort everything and it's like you don't even realize what you're doing.

I get asked for data, I provide it, it's somehow not good enough, I get accused of doing the math wrong but yet nobody will explain how it's wrong(because it's not).

The basic idea behind the calculation is okay in principle, but if you want a better idea of mortality, then there's a lot more to take into account. For starters you put the daily deaths (the average is way higher BTW, 8 must come from some reporting delays on weekends. people don't suddenly stop dying because it's saturday) over the current positive tests for the same day. people don't usually die the same day they test positive, so you'd be better off using a daily positive test number from 2 weeks ago, which would raise the mortality rate. there are also lots of other things to take into consideration like estimates of true prevalence based of testing data and that kind of thing. Most of it is beyond my level of knowledge TBH, but epidemiologists do that thing for a living, so it's way safer and more accurate to trust their data and models.


EDIT: you get feedback on thinking when you explain it. Otherwise it's hard to address. I'll try at least, particularly if I think you're presenting something in good faith.

But the real problem here is that you guys make it sound like we're morons who can't understand numbers.  Instead of saying the data doesn't meet your standards, you try to spin a completely different way.

most people don't even acknowledge fault in their interpretation of data, so I'll give you credit for that. You'd be amazed by the amount of people who argue against the interpretation of pie charts. Lots of people completely ignore the numbers when they're presented and try to avoid acknowledging what they show and then continue to push points that are easily disproven by the numbers. Understanding some of the more complex stuff requires a decent bit of background along with a fairly sophisticated understanding of lots of numbers and data, and people come in here and shit on that all the time with no intention to learn and understand what's going on. Decent questions tend to get decent answers, even in here, and shitty ones tend to get treated shittily, particularly when they're asked in the framework of pre-existing misinformation that's designed to undermine trust and promote ignorance. Posting good questions in here requires some trust in science and scientific organizations. If you lead with open minded questions with the apparent intention to learn, somebody usually takes the time to post a decent attempt at an answer. If you try to debunk something the CDC said because you saw something on youtube or fox news, then you get treated like a troll.

Is it possible that the long term use of vaccines could cause some problems with the immune system?
Maybe it protects you more from covid, are we sure it isn't altering the immune system permanently in other ways?
