You forgot to mention whip cream though!  I find strawberries a little to sweet by themselves.  They taste so good with whip cream and some sort of angel cake or something.

What sucks is that more pesticides are used on strawberries than any other crop.  Those little buggers dig em too.

Strawberries are a definite nectar of the gods(us).  We grew them when i was like 14 in Montana.  They only grew to about a fifth of the size of store strawberries but the sweetness was mind altering :crazy2:.  The deer and birds ate em up too in no time at all if you give 'em the chance.

They're also an aphrodisiac. :thumbup:

I remember when I was a kid I used to go out with my grandfather and pick them in these fields. Man, those were the days! Make sure and save some for me!

I thought cotton was the most pesticide-heavy crop. Feh.

Yeah, cotton and the peanuts they rotate it with. Strawberries are way up there though. Try to get them organic if you can!

recently (4 months) i converted one of my hydroponics setups from growing  :shiftyeyes: tomatoes to strawberrys and red currents they come out huge under a 450w hps
