First of all, i wouldn´t name it. Why conform, because everyone else does it? Fuck that shit man, its all ducksauce anyways. A name is something you give to your dog. I would never see myself as a dog, even less a cat. Besides, i want my music to be fluid as water anyway. Be water my friend, be water! So naming my band wouldn´t make any sense.

it's a real thing. i used to get it a lot when i was younger, doesn't happen very often anymore. always thought it would be a cool band name.

Roaring Night Noise


I sometimes get a roaring rush of sensation that is similar to perceiving a loud bombardment of sound waves but also different in that I feel it in my body around stage 1 sleep, always have experienced this.  I focus on trying to amplify this roaring sensation until I enter a lucid dream, it's really cool but frightening simultaneously.

mine were always accompanied by a physical sensation, electricity starting at the base of the spine traveling up into the head, culminating with the "explosion."

i get them a lot (while awake) on high doses of tryptamines, also. even wrote a piece of a poem about it after a particularly strong dmt trip.



metabolic sensations
ignite up the spine
exploding as a carnival
inside of my head

while robotic formations
of faces align
unloading their arsenal
designed for the dead

That's pretty cool.  I associate the feeling as being sort of similar to ASMR response but with less dopamine involved, I can see why you describe it as electricity at the start. For me the roaring and rushing culminates into a very intense vibration that is able to "phase me into the next stage." I guess that is how I would put it but it is very hard to describe accurately.

I absolutely am, but I don't necessarily fear sleep paralysis anymore because by embracing what is happening I am able to enter a state of lucid dreaming.  For me, fighting it would result in sleep paralysis episodes where I have less control.  It sounds nuts to folks who don't experience such things but it is real and somewhat regular for me. When I'm sleep deprived and sleeping supine, then it's guaranteed.
