Monday Afternoon Dead Thread!

In keeping with tradition, I thought I'd post a "what show are you listening to thread" :smile:

Right now I'm listening to the New Years show from (I think) 72 at Winterland... disc one is starting to finish up, on a great Tennesee Jed right now....

Nothing like some good :gd_icon: to help the studying be less boring!

2-15-69 electric factory right now!  I have to work second shift all week  :frown: ,  so i just loaded up my mp3 player with Cats Under The Stars, Run For The Roses, Garcia (Compliments) and Reflections!  Its going to be a Jerry night!

BTW, dead heads, I bought a TGD CD, the album is called Grateful Dead, just that. The cover art is of the skeleton with roses.

Bertha, Mama Tried, Big Railroad Blues, Playing In The Band, The Other One, Me & My Uncle, Big Boss Man, Me & Bobby McGee, Johnny B. Goode, Wharf Rat, Not Fade Away, Going Down The Road Feeling Bad... and there's a bonus track called Oh Boy, and another bonus track that I dont remember the name of.
Here is the cover art, well half of it, the other half is on the back

Yeah, I think its their first cd. I like it, but not as much as their whole live shows.
Is there any cd you could reccomend for starters? I'm bound to go ask the store to order a one of their cd's.

Studio CDs? I would say Workingman's Dead, Blues for Allah, Terrapin Station, or American Beauty....

But I saw that they had a great live CD in this record store in Bergen (you know that big music store (i forget the name) next to the 7-11 in Torgallmenningen?)... it was called "Bear's Choice" - it was some selected songs from early Dead shows that Owsley recorded... I was listening to it a few weeks back and it was a really nice compilation - so if you pass by there give it a listen and see what you think.
