Are they growing a bit wonky?
    #26189865 -

http:// Hi everyone!!!

After a tons of research on here. Finally went for it. Started with pf tek brf jars to SGFC and now I am just wondering why are some curly and some normal? Some seem to be growing a lot faster than others.

What’s the most amount of cakes you can put in?

Help a girl out, please.  Should I be picking these curly ones off?

That's multispore: a range of characteristics from mutants to long skinny, fat short, fast/slow, hardly any mushrooms, impotent, VERY potent, smooth/harsh on the body, etc etc. Every batch is unique!

You can pack as many cakes in there as you have room for the mushrooms to grow off them, more can help stabilize the humidity. You can pick the knarly ones and save the energy for other fruits, or just wait until they stop growing. I'd probably just leave them, I like their personality.

Congratulations on your first grow!

Yes I accidentally used multiple syringes of 10 different spores and somehow mixed up which ones I had already inoculated and well you live and learn. I can’t remember what types. So it’s fine to leave them then? Is there a good resource for multispore even if it was accidental. I do remember reading that it was okay if I accidentally inoculated the same jar with 3 diff strains.

Here isn’t to hoping some turn out normal. I think I am going to break up some other cakes and do shoe box tek instead. I did it this way  just because I figured it was my first run and I should learn the classic method first.

Thank you for helping me feel better! It is very exciting.

It’s true! I fucked up and accidentally inoculated a few jars a couple times with two or three dif stains. Sleep deprivation. I know now! I don’t see any veils dropping or anything so I didn’t know if I should harvest the really wonky looking ones or not. First grow ever so just happy that something is finally happening. Misting every two to four hours except at night. And fanning twice a day. I live in pretty good climate. It is 72 degrees in my house right now. I just got a grow light that I was thinking to add to the equation as well.

Practically anything you see talking about a syringe is referring to multispore. (There are some that do liquid culture from syringe but it should be very clear from the Tek)

That's just the nature of growing from spores.

They're probably fine for a while. If you see them start dropping spores though, harvest right then or they'll cover everything. Won't hurt anything, just makes a mess and some find the taste disagreeable.

Fanning is unnecessary. All those holes provide plenty of air. Unmodded tubs don't need to be fanned and they only get air from around the lid.

Where if you're alone, you know, you either come through it or you die, but in any case you avoid the fuss.'"
