I came across this website by accident, propstore.com, and started surfing it out of curiosity.

They have various props from movies and tv shows of all kind, and from all eras.

They have everything from director's chairs to parking passes for actors to the props and attire used/worn by the actors/actresses.

Would you ever consider buying anything?

Man some of that stuff goes for absolutely insane prices -- like Christoper Reeve's actual Superman costume went for 200K. Johnny Depp's Edward Scissorhands full costume went for 105K, the Terminator 2 exoskeleton actually used in the movie went for (gasp) 323 thousand dollars, Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones hat worn in the film went for (double gasp) over half a million, and the most expensive sold of all-time (I think) was Marilyn Monroe's iconic white dress. It sold for over 4 million dollars.







Now not all props of course go for absurd amounts -- for example you can get yourself a couple hand drawn pages from The Simpsons (of Bart) for 95 bucks right now. Or for a little bit more (little bit of an exaggeration but whatev) you can own one of Fox Mulder's suits from The X-Files for a very cost effective (lol) 2 grand. Or an uzi used by one of the bad guys in Dark Knight Rises for a shade under $700.

The most expensive thing I've come across that's currently for sale on the site is the flamethrower used in Aliens that's listed at roughly 30 grand. Yikes.

I would love to get a good prop from Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, but #1 I couldn't find any that exist, and #2 I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway. That movie gained such cult status that a really good prop from that film, like Duke's cigarette holder for example, would be really expensive I would assume.

Wow. I have recently discovered another website myself for this one particular piece of legendary hilarity. Didnt see a price tag tho I guess because its a museum of props.

Reason being is that this year's Halloween costume has got to be the butler from Scary Movie 2. Thats right, the fuckin Strong Hand. DO WANT!!

A terminator prop would be pretty fantastic. I remember the Gobstopper from the original Willy Wanka sold for thousands on Pawn Stars.

Sitting there and watching the movie, and then seeing that prop (that you now own) actually being used in a scene would be kinda trippy

Remember the raincoat scene at the end with Bruce Willis?

You can get it and use it as your raincoat for the low low price of 5 grand



I'm actually surprised that's still available, that was a pretty popular movie and that was an iconic scene from that film

Then again I guess it comes down to not that many people have 5 grand lying around to throw on a raincoat :lol:
