Which is better - cole slaw or potato salad? And please no snide wise ass comments here. This is serious stuff. We are talking about "sides" that go with grilled hamburgers for god's sake!

I had some homemade coleslaw a friend's mum made once, SO GOOD

but then I just picked up some mustard seed potato salad from the supermarket

and like what about pasta salad? even that can be aiight

damn. What part of the country are you people from?  Ribs? Pulled Pork? I'm from the N East and suddenly all this good stuff is 'trendy' and you can't touch it if you are a cheap ass bastard like me. You lucky fers.
BTW. You can put slaw on burgers but ya can't put p salad on the same.  Jus sayin...

I'm from WV but I live in CA.  It's all about tri tip out here.  I just have pig on the brain because I was watching David Chang's show on netflix and the bbq one is fuckin :datass:

I'm from australia
we pull our pork from the pig
and burgers should be all about nothing but the best mince for the pattie
literally JUST THE MINCE
make it pattie shapped, grill dat bitch
grill up some bacon
some dank lettuce
tomato if das your thing
throw some burger cheese on the pattie while she cooks
toast up yo bun
add burger sauce

I like to do a mix of tomato sauce, american mustard, mayo, some spice mix, paprika, cayenne pepper, little garlic powder, some finely diced pickles

balance that shit right and it can be big mac sauce

also some dank homemade salsa goes a treat

All good points amigo. But to complicate the issue even further, there is the issue of regional additives to these topical gastronomic concoctions of which we currently speak. Potato salad for instance: Homestyle, or German or some (god help you) trendy piece of  NY jar of crap that is worth whatever people are stupid enough to pay for.

Oh god, things were so much better when I was a kid living in the country :frown:
