My wife has used Enterprise before and liked it, I don't think credit is a determining factor, but then again I wasn't involved. They seem pretty chill, I'd call up your local Enterprise rental place, see what they conjure up for you π

Ok i did some research, debit and credit cards are accepted but u need a "security deposit". I wonder if i have to have that money upfront or is it a conditional charge if I harm the vehicle.

Usually security deposits get returned when you return the car if there's no damage.
AAA and some credit cards get you decent discounts on rentals if you check with them, my capital one card gets me a discount plus it has it's own insurance

Last time I rented a car I used a debit card and had to give 200$ deposit upfront incase the car is damaged or returned with no fuel. If you dont ruin the car and fill it full of fuel when you bring it back they will give you the deposit back. They will ask you if you want insurance make sure to tell them yes or you could also sometimes have the option to put your own insurance on it from your current insurance company. Last but not least,, make sure you walk around and document every dent, scratch, or crack on the car so your not accused of making the problem when you rented the vehicle,, it could have been there before you took it and they missed it and then try and make you pay for someone else's fault

I've rented cars all over the world, and unless you're looking for some sort of boutique ride, most of the usual suspects offer similar levels of service and you should go with the lowest offer you can find (e.g. Advantage, Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Budget, et al). If you have a Costco membership, check their travel website for quotes as well. They're not always the cheapest, but sometimes pull through.
I would also recommend calling up the customer service line on the credit card you intend to use (or check the policy doc's on their website) to verify that they will provide insurance coverage on your behalf, as many major credit cards will do this for you when renting a vehicle. This can save you $10+/day when you decline the rental company's collision/damage insurance option. It may be a little more hassle to make use of, and in the event of an accident you may need to first go through your primary insurance policy (if you own an insured car yourself) to exhaust those policy limitations before the credit card company will step in to handle the rest... but unless you're just a terrible driver or happen to be unlucky, odds are you won't have to deal with it anyway.
A lot of companies have you self check your vehicle for dents, dings and scratches before you take it out. While I have never seen my vehicle thoroughly inspected upon return (they just walk a circle around it to make sure things aren't falling off in my experience), I am still liberal on the initial paperwork by putting plenty of marks on commonly scuffed areas like the bumpers and side doors, even if I don't necessarily see them.
Be mindful that in addition to the upsell on insurance option, they'll also try to get you to upgrade to a "nicer" car, or want you to prepay your fuel tank, and god knows what else they have on offer to grab more of your money. Don't do any of those things. The "discount" they give you for prepaying a full tank will never offset the amount of gas you don't use in the tank before you return the vehicle. Even if you end up having to top off the tank at their high return rates because you don't have time to hit the gas station on the way back, you'll still in the majority of cases come out ahead versus prepaying for the full tank.
Anytime I go to pick up a rental car, I'm prepared to politely say "I decline all options" several times over.

I rent lots of cars. I prefer enterprise.
Budget is sleezy with their upgrades.
I take pictures of all damages on the car with a cell phone. Your photos are all time stamped.

I don't know what they take. Probably 500 -1000? Never really looked or asked.

I believe most rental agencies place an authorized hold on your credit card for $100-$300 for a typical car, which means that the specified amount of the hold won't be available on your credit line, but it won't actually be charged unless there are items deemed deductible upon the return of the vehicle. Note that if you are under 25 years of age, there are likely higher fees and security holds required.
