I posted mine in tools of the trade but here it is again.  Shameless eh? :hehehe:  I’ve only used it maybe a dozen times so far but loving it!

It was quite old, used in a Tissue Culture Lab, it was an Envirco Mac10 Fan Filter Module, the only parts from the original module that I retained were the back plate of the plenum which consists of the blower and baffle system, I got a new filter made and I built the sides of the plenum from ply then I also built the hood or work area from wood, the inner two sides are white acrylic, the top is clear perspex and the work surface is food grade stainless steel.
It produces even laminar flow over the entire area of the filter, I'm very pleased with it.

That looks good 99.99:thumbup:

I feel like the rack probably creates more turbulence than there would be without it, you should try using it without, it looks like you have a nice stainless surface to work on there.

Yep that’s an old photo I tried the Rack for a little bit and it’s just easier without it

Ok that's good, I see a lot of people using these racks and never thought it was useful, as long as your area is wiped down properly with 70% isopropyl and your hood produces laminar flow you should be good.
An enclosed work space or hood in front of the filter is an advantage in my opinion and experience.

I use a rack to lift my work into the flow...

I try to work close the face of the HEPA and not worry so much about any turbulence that may be occurring downstream...

At least, that's my theory...

Just finished this a couple of weeks ago.

It’s a 24 * 24 h14 filter, put a speed control for the fan and made a door to protect The filter.
It’s got a temporary shitty cardboard pre filter until I get a Something better  but all works well.
