Habenero peppers are basically the peak of heat that I find enjoyable. Any further than that and it's either a dare or a chore. I do enjoy most foods with a spicy kick option if available.

Ghost peppers have about the same taste as habaneros but much hotter. I think if you like ghost peppers you should try habaneros.....

....My friend bought this sauce called the last dab which is from that one YouTube show called hot ones. Its made with the supposed new worlds hottest pepper called pepper x. Man that was hot but so good.....

Most habaneros I've tried have almost a "fruity" essence to them, like a sweet/fruity heat....but the ghost peppers I've tried have much more of a "smokey" essence to them (Not really "smokey" like smoked meats, but I don't know what other word to use other than "smokey" lol). It's been a while since I've straight up ate a hab or a ghost pepper raw, but from what I remember they both had a different essence going on for me.

And yea I'm familiar with that youtube show. That's cool....I've been wanting to try that "last dab" sauce...Curious about it's flavor and how intense it's heat is. Several folks that have been on the show have commented it was a delicious sauce.

Never pain, but once I get into bigger amounts of the extracts I've literally gone deaf. Room spinning and ears ringing, it feels like in the war movies when a grenade goes off nearby.

Did the carolina reaper challenge while drunk last year. I don't even remember any mouth pain, I just remember almost instantly running to the bathroom and being on the floor doubled over. Worst stomach pain I can imagine. It was a long day and night after that.

Aw man...Yea, alcohol in the stomach and lots of capsaicin do not mix well lol,

One night years ago while over at my buddies house, the dude that had a bag of dried ghost peppers...I was over there with some friends and we were drinking....I talked one of my friends into taking a bite of a ghost pepper, I told him I would eat as much as he did...Thing was, I love spicy food and I had ate them before and I knew exactly what I was getting into...He did not lol....He was also drinking whisky, I was drinking beer.

Needless to say, yea he was in the bathroom soon after eating it and was puking and feeling like doo doo, he had stomach pain and just all around he looked really fucked up lol (face flushed red, tears pouring down his face, sweating, snot everywhere lol)...He was really tore up from it for at least two hours and it messed up his night for sure lol, I kinda felt bad. If I knew he was going to get that torn up from it I wouldn't have brought up the idea lol.

I saw a video where a guy snorted ghost chili powder. Fuck. That's more or less self torture.

There's a video out there of some dude taking bong rips of one of the super-hot peppers :nonono: .

One of our shroomery members plugged some hot pepper (powder I believe it was) up their anus, no joke...They wanted to experience some of the most intense pain that's possible without any actual trauma/injury to the body, for the experience and "to meditate on and learn about pain"....He's posted about it on here before a few times over the years but I won't name names.

Sounds strange...but I can understand wanting to plug hot peppers in the anus for a specific experience of pain (not something I would or want to do, but I can totally understand why someone would want to do that)....However, I don't understand why those guys do things like snorting hot chili powder or taking bong rips of hot peppers (other than youtube views?/brief internet "fame").

Tobasco makes a habanero sauce that is just delicious. It is my favorite hot sauce. It has a light orange color, and a slight mango/pineapple tase right before the hot kicks in. It is so good.

This is my favorite habanero hot sauce. Not hard to over-do it. It is especially great on a breakfast sandwich.

That looks good as fuck. Is there actual dinosaurs inside of it or that like a branding thing?

I love habanero sauce on pizza rolls, and fried shrimp. I've been known to drop it on a strawberry as well, if no one is looking...

Definitely going to have to try that... For science.

:filosoraptor:

I just put a little of that dinosaur sauce on a ribeye steak with mushrooms. Amazing!

I've been regularly getting dried carolina reaper peppers from the market nearby.

I use them daily -- but for real, they're dangerous. Like you have to use them very, very carefully. Eat a little too much and it will fuck you up. It'll feel like your stomach is bleeding internally, lol.

I'm pretty sure they could cause an ulcer or something over time, if you ate a lot of raw ones.

Yeah I love spicy food. My most recent death challenge was at a local seafood place that lets you “spice” up your crab boil. I foolishly got the hottest of the hot scorpion pepper and holy fuck. I can handle spicy like really spicy and this shit was like pepper spray. I couldn’t get the capsaicin off my hands and stupidly rubbed my eyes. Yeah wasn’t fun. I finished my entire meal tho because it was like 50$. They even do that stupid “ring the hot bell” if u get scorpion

Someday I would like to grow some food. Because of this thread I added orange habanero to my list of foods to grow someday. I'm not even sure what all can survive the Texas heat.

Dude... You live in a place where you can grow a ton of things nearly year round.

For some plants you may need to take extra measures to grow certain things, but unless you are straight up lazy, or don't have the time, i'd get on that.

For real! The SW USA is one of the best places to grow almost anything.

Yeah the summer heat can fuck up your plants but shades help. I found heirloom plants die real quickly from the heat. Had some gnarly ribbed tomatoes that grew like weeds until the damn heat ruined all my hard work.

With a basic set up outdoors you could pull off almost anything with all of that sunshine. It just might take some experimentation and some custom rigging.

Where I live we have a growing season, and a covered in snow season. I'm a little jealous.

Yeah you got about 10 months in the DFW area alone, and some decent rain sometimes in the summer.

You around north texas? Peppers should grow good there, you just have to water stuff more, they love the sun as long as what you grow gets plenty of water. Weed does great with lots of water. Look for the plants that will thrive in your zone that you want to grow.
