What the fuzz?

Have this stuff almost completely taking over some of my cakes and I'm not sure what it is I've never had to deal with it before
I though it might be from not enough far and too much misting but I adjusted for that and it seems to be worsening

Your pics are pretty strange. Almost looks like ice crystals.

I would guess its aerial mycelium. Its a consolidation issue I believe. Nothing you can really do about it :shrug:

Mycelium overgrowth or it could be a bacteria causing it.

Mist less and make sure it's getting enough air.

That is aerial mycelium characterized by the individual strains of mycelium reaching upward, as well as, the flat white color.

Aerial mycelium on cakes like that is the symptom of not allowing enough time for the mycelium to fully digest/consolidate the substrate before birthing. 

That is not bacteria.  If it were bacterial mycelium; it would be clumped together, and the color of white the mycelium would be is glossy.

I think it might be that along with too much misting
Imbgetting my wife into all of this and she thought too much water is better than not enough
Which is my fault for nit educating her enough
