Vaping Dry Cannabis

Have you ever used a dry herb vaporizer with cannabis? If so, how do the effects differ from smoking cannabis for you?

Recently I've been hitting this tiny metal tube where you fill the tip with weed, use a butane torch on said tip for about 10 seconds, then after it reaches vaporization temperature you get quite a bit of vapor. It's called the Dynavap, I'm sure a lot of people have heard of it.

The thing that strikes me about it is why people don't almost exclusively consume weed like this. I get that smoking a joint is great for a group, but for personal use I'm not sure why so many people exclusively smoke herb or dab concentrates. I think it's because vaping is not quite as strong as smoking when you have a high tolerance, but in my mind getting a tolerance too high for vaporization alone is probably a sign of a problem. Not that I haven't been there, but still.

Just inspired by how many people I know that view vaping as a totally different, significantly weaker high. Curious what y'all think.

I use a battery powered dry herb convection vape pen. Just push the button three times, wait 30ish seconds and you're good to go.

I like it because it's so much easier on my lungs and I have asthma. It also gives a good flavor without a harsh burnt flavor combustion vapes can cause.

I just wonder if the heat is the right temp to extract all the goodies, as there's only one tempetature option. I really don't know much about that aspect. Seems optimal to use the whole bud instead of a concentrate IMO, but I can see how people with higher tolerances would want something stronger.

First time I vaped it blew my mind. I've always thought it stronger than smoking. I just love the art of rolling a joint and seeing it burn as I smoke it. I smoke daily and I switched to vaping mainly for the same reasons previously stated, to give my lungs and throat a break. I almost exclusively vape now, I have a table top vape that is the best I've ever used for the price (DaBuddah Vape, $120 on amazon) and an oil pen. I suspect the oils we get have some bad flavoring chemicals and stuff but I love how easy it is and you can hit it in public and no one ever thinks twice about it. All the cartridges I get are 100% legit commercially packaged and legal(in some states) and we all know that no company would sell us something harmful, amirite?? My tolerance is pretty high, been smoking daily for about 10 years now. Anyways sorry to be a little long winded.

Ive vaporized duff weed (pre-vaporized herb) using a Vapir 2.0 - I got waaaay too high it was uncomfortable.

I smoke cause of the convienence of it. Vaporizing has a different high, more of a clean high. I find bong ripa more intoxicating overall.

Nothing beats a good bong rip Haha. You got super high from AVB(already vaped bud)?? Daymn. I've smoked and vaped some of my abv but it's super harsh and I find I have to do like 5 bowls to get anywhere. I usually scrape the "resin"(its really just condensed THC vapor) from my vape and smoke it with the abv. The resin smokes like hash and I get super high from that stuff haha. I usually do a bowl of abv with like a puck of resin on top, like hash. It's good stuff.  Stinks tho haha and it's super sticky and gets all over your fingers

I know, paradoxical right?

For some reason, when you vaporize pre-vapored weed (aka duff weed) in a vaporizer such as the Vapir 2.0, you will get super high. The taste of the "vapor" (its more like a smoke) is of burnt popcorn. Its not great and is best avoided.

I know that burnt popcorn phenomenon that you're talking about. If I have my vape up too high, high enough where the bud combusts instead of vaporizing, it makes the harshest, nastiest tasting smoke ever. I honestly dont know how high you get from it cause as soon as it starts burning I turn it down and let's it cool off. It's almost unsmokable when it does that. It's so gross. And I am by NO means at all opposed to the aroma of good bud or burning bud; it's nothing like that. Sorry not really adding to the OP, just discussing haha
