I pretty much never skip out on work, I have to have a pretty good reason to skip out. I only call out if I'm sick.

I skipped school all the time though when I was younger, even at my university I would skip classes just to get high, play games, go out and do shit.

I eventually realized it all meant I had to make that time up later and it wasn't good, I started to get some self discipline and just man up.

So I filled the pills for free

Never took them they were like look how good you do now

I play hookey on average once every couple months. Sometimes I’m not sick.. sometimes I’ve had a crazy night beforehand. We all need a mental health day sometimes. Beach trip!

I often feel guilty though.. like I’m leaving my team hanging.

I was just fucking around. I have three weeks vaca, 4 floating holidays and 40hrs sick leave. If I burn all that up my boss will let me charge the time I miss to a job if need be. I've been missing no days since my recovery from my last surgery. I sometimes sell my vacation back at the end of the year. Not this year though, I'm putting in for vaca this summer. I'm taking every Monday and Friday off on the pay periods. Three day work weeks with four day weekends.:hehehe:

Sick leave would be nice.  Wish I had it.  But I'm spoiled with time off.

I think I average 10 to 14 weeks of holidays each year.  The nature of my shift/tour work, allows me to really stretch my time off.  When I take a 2 day tour off, my 2 regular days off before the tour and the 3 regular days off after the tour...make that a 7 day stretch. Every 6 weeks I accumulate an "averaging day off"(for hours I work in excess of 40 hours each week).  Its a day off without pay but I'm entitled to it.  So every 6 weeks I book that off and on the other day I burn 12 hours vacation

12 hours vacation for a 7 day stretch off.

watermelon mon, i relate to your experiences with school.  i wonder how many people that come to this website could relate to that kind of experience.

as in a commonality among psychedelic users.

the school system never seemed to serve any of my psychedelic friends well.

that's not to so learning isn't amazing,

school just isn't a system or a place with a design where learning can ideally take place.
