Golden teachers drying completely blue

Hey guys! I'm brand new here. I just harvested some golden teachers from my first flush. When I picked them there was no discoloration. I put them in my drying chamber I got from Midwest grow kits last night and now they are ALL blue. Even the cap. Anyone else experience this?

Midwest is some bullshit (as are all kits) and you need a dehydrator.

the extra blueing if from the shrooms being exposed to air while still wet. you need to dry them hot and fast.

that chamber will give you partially dried fruits that will probably suffer potency loss.

shrooms are still a food so treat them as such. right now they are basically slowly rotting until they sorta dry out.

EDIT:
sometimes shrooms will hella bruise:shrug:
but seriously buy a dehydrator.

That's why they don't look dry lol. U picked them and threw them straight into a desiccant chamber? Definitely get a dehydrator. If u can't right now, I think oven drying is better than that. Just turn the oven down to 170 and leave the door cracked open with mushrooms on foil. Then maybe throw them in that box for storage lol

Oh and like 6-8 hrs in the oven if u do that. And turn them over once in awhile.

I read that if you have a heat element in the dehydrator it can ruin them. What temp do you bake them at?

170f with the door open about an inch or 2.

And no, heat doesn't do anything. Letting them sit while wet like that decreases potency.

IMO, I think they look good!! Just started growing but I bought and consumed for the about 25 years and was happy when I saw something like that. Hope you enjoy them.

I read that on the shroomology forum but in my opinion there's better info on this forum. I literally just started so every thing is new to me and I'm having a lot of fun learning.

Your opinion is wrong because, as stated above, it's not based in facts. Bruising means mushrooms were mishandled, not that they're more potent. My albinos stay white (kinda silvery caps) while dried and will kick your ass.

I find it so comical when people are rude to others on the internet. I also love that everyone is assuming I'm a boy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ₯°πŸ₯°. I appreciate everyone's feed back. Everything else I've harvested didn't turn that blue so I was curious if there was something wrong with what I grew. And I just ordered a dehydrator πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ
