Should you hide your power level when making new friends or no?

Example: one thing that makes this place great is that we all have something in common our love of shrooms. In real life I would never even bring shrooms up casually.

Hide your power level until you can destroy their scouters. That way you can hunt for the dragonballs unhindered.

I find when meeting new people it is best to be more quiet than usual. To listen more then talk, and to observe what they're all about. Why put all your cards on the table right off the bat? They are your cards afterall.

Fuck friends. Im over making new ones. Sounds lame but it is just too much work, i dont have the energy. To answer ur question, id say play your cards close to your chest until you know people are cool. Its hard for me because all my interests make me seem fucked so thats why i just dont bother with new people.

I start with me smoking weed and if they aren't ok with that even if they don't do it, I find different friends.

Druggie radar just knows man. I have had people I met on the internet visit and within an hour and a beer we are talking about drugs, where we didn't know that about each other before.

Still don't tell anyone ever that you are home guy making or growing psychedelics anyway. If shit goes south that's a lot of power to be holding over you. Never tell, ever, never, ever and especially not girlfriends/boyfriends.

Definitely this. When all is well it may seem like it's fine and it's tempting to share at times but you never know when things may turn sour. The last thing you want to be is another person with a story of how their misplaced trust landed them in the can.

I made the mistake of telling somebody I had some weed growing on my property once (a close friend) and ended up over hearing him talking about my plants at a party a few weeks later with some random dude I didn't know :facepalm:. Fortunately I didn't end up in legal trouble but that's the type of shit you need to consider. You trust that one person and then they tell people they trust, whom you may not know or trust yourself, then you find yourself in a tight spot.

Thank you - this was one of a series of antics but involvement of police and paramedics made it a rather notable one.


As I put it to my family doctor (GP) after the whole thing was over as he was clipping the stitches: "Look at it this way: its good training for my generalized social phobia!" He lauded my sense of humor :lol:

Rather than 'laying all my cards out' up front (as someone said earlier), I do something like this; slowly/tactically let out 'taboo' interests (pretty much all mine are) to see how the person reacts/how judgemental/how cool they are. I've only go so much free time and I won't dedicate it to a human that looks down their nose at me, so I'm quick to identify and weed the types that would out of my world.

One can never have too many friends in this life. I make them every opportunity I can. Doesn't matter if they're a friend for five minutes/months/years/decades - EVERYBODY has something to teach you.

If it's something [making new friends] one finds hard, then one should push oneself to practice, for without friends we will stagnate, and that's a fate worse than death.

Also, it's not what you know, it's who you know. Rarely have I known a more relevant truism.

I call it a PCP rampage because hey, its the classic stuff you see on youtube minus the getting shot and biting cops part.


I was so mentally.. vulnerable. Icould have K.O'd a tiger but, it was very hard to discern fantasy from reality at that point.

OI had been through unspeakable imaginary dissociative shit leading up to that point as you can imagine.

The stuff of utter nightmares.
