I don't think discipline attributes to success, but resilience and skateboarding tought me to get beat up and get up and that has payed off

Discipline. It's sickening. Until I found the Shroomery I had no outlets except my projects. Now I've got another fucking project growing mushrooms. That's a total of about 5 I'm juggling right now. So I developed a coping mechanism/mantra: "It all has to get done but it doesn't all have to get done today. But something does." That way I can at least keep progressing and knocking projects off the list while I keep adding projects to the list. Yeah, that's discipline, or psychosis.

I'm still stressed AF and wish I could figure out how to just freaking relax but when you start having to schedule that... IT'S ANOTHER PROJECT.

Apparently discipline is the #1 (or so I read) factor in success.  Not intelligence.  Just discpline.

The practice of training yourself to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.

Does that definition resonate with you?  Do you give something your 100% even if you don't feel like it anymore?

Can you self-motivate??

I have serious discipline problems when it comes to something I don't like doing tbh. I really dislike doing my schoolwork and goddamn I struggle trying to do it.

I think my intelligence is the only reason why I have managed to succeed at things because I'm honestly a lazy fuck.

Throughout my adult life, I've always been very disciplined; except when I need it most.

Soon as tragedy and pain strike, I drop the things I need most to see me through the darkness and instead give in to 'quick/easy fixes' (distraction).

For a time at least, I always seem to make it through in the end and return to discipline and routine. I'm hoping that I've seen that pattern enough times now to fix it and maintain discipline even in the face of existential pain.
