Huge fruit, but striped stipes & spots

Hi. I'm new to this, and I could use some help. I'll try to make this short:

Background: I started with PF Tek weeks ago, inoculating 12 jars: 6 with a Tanzanian, 6 with a Maui. I lost 5 to mold, but got 7 cakes into the fruiting chamber. 4 of them were fast, productive, and happy, 3 of them were very reluctant, grew fewer but bigger fruit. I got two flushes out of them.

THEN I decided to change my approach - I created a monotub and shredded all 7 cakes into it. It colonized SUPER fast, and started knotting in 7 days, pinning in 10. Unfortunately, it was very wet in there (I think I needed to drain the pasteurized substrate longer). I wiped down the walls and wicked some out, and it seemed to get better.

Now the fruit is growing super fast, but I am worried about it - the caps have some damp-looking spots on them, the stipes are a little darker than they were, and have some stripes on them. One of them has split the stipe.

They don't smell bad at all, they're still growing extremely fast. My guess is that the spots on the caps and the stripes on the stipes are all caused by too much moisture. I took the polyfill out of two of the holes and put an indirect fan in the space to help with FAE and drying it out a little.

Do any of you knowledgeable and experienced growers have some insight for me? Did I mess these up?

There is nothing wrong with those fruits.
They look really good and you have nothing to worry about.

About 5x bigger than my fruits. Must be doing something right :laugh:

When you do your coir, just get it to field capacity. No need to drain...ever. For 650 gram brick, start with about 3.5 quarts of near boiling water. 4.5 if your using 2 qts of verm with it. This will get you close.

Looks good, but the stripes could mean that your humidity might be a tad too high during fruiting. I just had the same thing but worse. After pinning, don't need 100% humidity, I'm finding 80-85% is the sweet spot for me, plus more FAE. I'm doing tubs. It was getting bad, plus casing was a tad too moist.Second pic different tub at 80% humidity, they are loving it ( second flush too). The blackish cap in first photo, not from spores. Of course every individual environment and grow style varies.

Wet substrate makes big shrooms. Also allows bacteria to flourish, shortening the life of your tub significantly.
