Porn addiction

I have an problem. i cant quit porn for the life of me. Even though it ruined my life and gave me OCD.

I do the nofap challenge for 2 days and then just relapse and hate myself. Its a constant cycle of "oh yeah Im gona beat this addiction" and then 5 minutes later "fuck why did I do that". I have some pure OCD and when I stay off the porn, it seems to start going away. But despite knowing this, I still end up fapping.

Anybody have any tips and tricks to help kick pron addiction?

Just be more mindful about your addiction. When you feel yourself getting a desire to fap, or whatever, pay attention to what it was that triggered you, then you can decide to follow through with your fapping or to halt that train of though.

Just out of curiosity, how often are you viewing porn?

doesnt sound that bad..

One thing I learnt is dont beat yourself up over it (no pun intended)

but if you want to stop just take it a day at a time

Maybe you should just stop the porn keep fapping but just imagine what you desire

It can take away your mojo some.  Specially if you do one of those all night adderall whack sessions and then run to the store when the sun comes up and everyone can peer through your soul know exactly what you’ve done :crankey:  ... pale and dehydrated, that’s no way to play the championship game..:nojustno:

You can try masturbating at your usual frequency, but without the aid of porn. This is like going from cigarettes to vaping. Then, once you've comfortably weaned yourself off of porn, you can start tapering off with your masturbation frequency to the point where your addiction is under control.

You might also try carrying around a bottle of hot sauce and drinking a few drops every time you get the urge to watch porn. This ought to condition you out of the desire (or maybe it'll just suppress the desire and fuck up your psyche somehow... but I doubt it. I think I read a story about a doctor who tried this strategy successfully for losing fat by overcoming his hunger pangs).

I feel like this would make it worse and strengthen that neural connection of wanting to watch pron by stimulating my taste buds in such a high magnitude

that is some realness right there, even when we are in bad circumstances we still choose our choices. also OP im sure this habit didn't develop spontaneously so expecting to just up and decide to stop cold turkey is setting yourself up for failure. sexual energy and drive is natural, what you need to be working on is moderation towards moderation. intent is what you are having issues with, are you actually horny or are you seeking the escape that self pleasure and an orgasm?
