yah srsly as much as i think conn is a good guy deep down that lost his way why people are even questioning anything that happened is beyond me. i mean he went fucking batshit insane for a while there u all saw it. i mean we all go crazy coming off the dope it fucks with ur brain man. I did it we all did it lets be honest. maybe its that people dont realize how strong heroin here is. it looks like hes moving toward putting his life together n stuff tho now maybe. jus has to survive the crazy till his brain balances back out.

I would say he's the one having trouble separating the two. The problem with your statement is expecting people to forget everything he's ever said on the subject. Which is... no. Just no. The guy is a racist with Nazi ideals. Did the Nazis separate Zionists from Jews, or did they just burn them all? How many times has Conn himself neglected to separate the two? Many. That's his problem, not everyone else's. And no one's obligated to put up with it. It's his racist malcontent that needed quelling, not our lack of having an informed opinion.

He was talking some very serious realtalk with me in PM, about concerns for the future we both share, when he asked to be permabanned. Not wanting to lose him I decided to STAL it a bit hoping he'd change his mind.

But no, he nudged a collegue admin and he got his perma.

There's no infraction or misgivings involved.

Its more like he's doing a reverse Pris: rather than flipping his lid, wanting in, he flipped his lid, wanting out.

Many things can be said regarding admins, but in the absence of infractions we aren't petty in obstructing people's way in or out.

He was clearly going through some sort of mental breakdown, but I find it disturbing that you would want to retain a member like him.

Maybe you missed alot of what he was saying across the boards, and in pms, or the near psychopathic fixation he had on koods, but if ever there was someone who needed a ban for the good of the site, it would be con.

I think it’s kinda sad he got banned like that but I guess he was really asking for it, I wish there was a system in place, where if you accidentally lose your mind but it has a buffer time so that you can recollect yourself before the oermabann like maybe A 30 day lock out of the account or something, I’m not sure.

He pm'd me directly asking for it.  He was lucid and of a sound mind in his PM, well as much as he could be I suppose. He did not rant, he was courteous and thankful.  He laid out that he needed some changes in life and having access to the forums was making it hard. 

At the same time he made all his silly postings breaking rules in attempts to get someone else to ban him. 

I put in his perma.  When someone gets a perma its only active for 24 hours if an admin doesn't approve it.  It didn't get approved fast enough so his ban lapsed. He logged back in and made the thread in WAF, trying to break more rules, and wondering why his ban wasn't in effect.

So he definitely had time to decide to change his mind if he just lost his shit for a bit.  He also thanked me again when I told him what happened and that I his perma was getting approved.  There is a system in place as well, because he can always file a support ticket later if he really wants back in.

Society is under high pressure, people are flipping their lid left and right.

I look at Conn's good stuff, not at his regrettable, well, meltdown.

I wouldnt hold Pris' hostile innuendo against him if he returned either, the Shroomery is about harm reduction, but sometimes a board of likeminded people is almost as bad as heroin as to addictiveness.



Sometimes people go off the rails or change their mind halfway through the ride.
