cant identify many however Beautiful patch of Fly Argarics

Habitat:
wood area , damp mossy grass many leaves plants trees. something lives there deer perhaps. Horses defiantly pass here.

Gills:
mainly light brown to white. no dark no purple.

Stem:
mixture

Spore print color:
Didn't pick, I want to preserve the area.

You should always pick all mushrooms you want to identify - the only mushrooms it is ok to leave there are the ones that you already know what they are.

Picking mushrooms has no effect on how many come back next time - You can pick every mushroom in a study plot for 30 years, and the same amount still comes back every year.  Does not matter if you cut them carefully off at the base or if you rip them out of the ground, unless they are wood chip mushrooms, in which case you don't want to disturb the mycelium too much.

I see some Coprinellus micaceus, Tylopilus, Laccaria, Cortinarius, Leccinum, Gymnopus and Lactarius in there.


Many mushrooms look the same from the top - We really need photos of the gills to identify most things.

Here is an example of how to take a good mushroom picture - you find some that are standing up, then pick a few nearby and lay them down next to the ones that are standing up. 

Extra credit: Cut one in half, use a DSLR, tripod and macro lens, shoot in raw and post process in photoshop, set the camera to ISO 100 and F16 - 22 for plenty of depth of field, have a reflector just outside of the frame to bounce some light back up on to the gills.  That's what I did in this case anyway for this Psilocybe yungensis from Jalisco.

Too bad there is no photo of me taking a picture because the tripod was sitting in a river.

Thanks for the advice ! will follow in these foot steps thanks for taking a look. Mycology is really a passion i'm developing. I'm not just looking for magic mushrooms all the time simply knowing different types will help my searches.
