What up guys! I've been playing some Farm Simulator 17 and I'm surprised by how much fun it is. It is super realistic. Very satisfying game.


Anyone here ever play....or like other simulation games?

haha cool does look tempting, ive enjoyed a few, used to love the settlers which had its own kind of farming going on, might say its a rts like cnc is, damn might have to play both again soon, grew up on sim city being played by my father and played a little bit myself but been decades tbh, similar type of game but can you call dungeon keeper a simulator, it is in a sense i guess...a simulator of a hellish overlord hahahahaaa

spore was fun but i think im drawing a blank as to actual simulators in the truest sense like this game appears except hunting simulator, cant discount that having it in the game title haha

all games including many aspects of life are simulators though to some degree

I member that shit it was like fucking 7 floppies :lol: I had actually totally forgotten about floppy discs they are hilarious by today's standards. but yah flight simulator was the shit back in the day. sim city too

I managed to download a free copy on the xbox. My son drives around the tractors. It's surprisingly detailed for a farming game. I set up some fields and shit so we just load it up and he harvests the crops and puts it in the silos and then drives around and sometimes he'll want to seed it again. The kid loves tractors and stuff. He always watches them the whole time in the fall when they harvest the fields, he has a bunch of john deere toys too, ect

Vehicles and objects have an immovable object kind of thing going on. It's exactly like GTA though if you want to grow some wheat or sweet potatoes.

watching apples play this shit for hours on end days at a time just blew my mind. he said u couldnt even steal other farmers fertilizers and make bombs or fuck up thier crops so ur shit sells top dollar. he said it was against farmer code but now I'm just thinking u just cant even do cool stuff in the game. :nonono:

Some of the modern sim games are pretty crazy, I've eyed this farm sim one as well as a recent truck sim game. They can be fun, the thing that tempted me about the truck sim is they actually include huge chunks of Europe accurately modeled in game. So you can truck around EU exploring and unlocking better vehicles/parts :strokebeard: Even as someone who doesn't like driving games usually it seems cool.

I am more into survival simulator games, like crafting stuff or city managers. Rimworld is my favorite, it's basically sims in space. Really well done "colony survival simulator": https://store.steampowered.com/app/294100/RimWorld/

It is 30$ but totally worth it, I have like 600~ hours and haven't even been gaming as much for awhile. It's an indie/early access game but has been updated for over a year and is near completion, has a great mod community too with thousands of mods already.
