My estranged father died and I don’t know how to feel

My dad abandoned my mom when I was five, and I just found out today that he died this last December because I did an intellius search for him and found an obituary on google. Not even when he was on his deathbed did he reach out to find me. I guess that’s closure, but’ it’s not very satisfying...

My mother is best described as estranged. I’ve gone over this very feeling, over and over. Will someone call? Will I be invited to the funeral? Will she even wanna meet her fucking grandkids first? My best guess is still, “I won’t know how to feel.” Which is about what I feel now. Life’s full of unclosed doors. All you can really do is live with them, for what they are.
