Business card ideas for "Jack of all Trades" media freelancer?
    #24998347 -

I'm trying to think of some ideas for business card designs. I want to keep it simple and minimal, and of course also nice looking.

Most business cards from what I've noticed have a clear-cut title or job description for what the person does or the services offered.

However, I'd like to market myself as a general freelancer. I have experience in everything from Web Development, Graphic Design, Animation, Video Editing, Audio Production, Game Development.. as well as Social Media Marketing, SEO and general content creation (writing blogs, articles/etc)

My website, which is still in progress, is called "[myname]media.com", so it's pretty vague as I do a broad variety of things. I'm still working on how to present myself as a freelancer, without any concrete 'set-in-stone' type of title.

The website is easy for me because I have a much larger canvas to work with. However, I'm having  difficulty thinking of ideas for a business card. i want something that sums up the general aspects of my services without being to cluttered. it would be easy if i did only one thing, but i'm kinda all over the place. and I want to keep it that way.

so basically i need a way to represent all my services onto a small business card, while being short simple and to the point. something that presents me as a "Jack of all Trades" in the media world.

anyone got any ideas?

So you're a "media specialist" that can't come up with a business card design?

Here's a simple way: collect the business cards from 10-20 individuals in a similar/related field. Pick and choose the elements you like from each.

I'd make a business card for each one, instead of jack of all trades.

You wanna cut out any confusion that your prospects may have about what you do, so when you look for clients, you wanna figure out what you can do for them and stay specific to that when talking to them

keep em simple with minimal graphics, include your name, info, logo etc in the appropriate locations.

you wanna think about how confusing it will be to someone looking at it for the first time.

tho remember that business cards without a personal introduction of yourself wont do much for you. the business card is just a way to remind people who you are and what you look & vibe like

this is why personalized face to face introduction and conversation is needed with business card distribution. you gotta seem really legit when face to face. smile n shit. talk clearly, & as if you already have a lot of business coming in. drink a beer before each meeting, thats what i do sometimes . maybe even write something relevant on the business card as you give it to them

Yeah. I use cards a lot actually. I'll go to scientific conferences with thousands of people present. Its really convenient to just grab a card so you don't forget the person.

Just make it a company card "[myname]media.com" with your name and contact info and make your title "Multi-Media Director" or some such.  Alternatively you could make up several titles and have cards printed for all of them.
