Well I think that is a very very thin argument that doesn't hold up against the overwhelming amount of data that supports the theory of racial evolution. I do agree that there is a many faceted explanation though, the amount of variables over that much time is insane, and of course there are outliers in every group.

There's minimum wage mandates in poor countries and it's done nothing to very little to reduce poverty, economic prosperity allows for a higher minimum ages, it doesn't create it.

Are you make believing again, or do you have empirical evidence to back you up?  Because the studies seem to show minimum wage helps.

More make believe, or do you have evidence to prove it?

Since the Federal Reserve Reform Act of 1977, the Fed's job has been to keep inflation near it's target of 3% per year, and they've done a remarkable job so far, regardless of the economy:

More economic fantasyland, there's no taxing our way out of this mess without massive currency devaluation.

I know for a fact that's make believe.  All Congress has to do is tax more than it spends, and debt goes down.

That's only because of the Great Recession which occurred under a Republican President.  Note how debt/GDP started going back down under Obama:

Haven't I piqued your interest enough for you to do some investigating yourself? I mean the evolutionary explanation just objectively makes sense.

Start with The Bell Curve by Charles A. Murphy and Richard Hernstien.
There is data on national IQ averages from every country a click away. This is widely accepted stuff, there are debates over the reasons for the disparities but the disparities themselves are well documented.

"minimum wage helps"

Helps what, are you suggesting the minimum wage mandates has or would reduce poverty?  More economic fantasyland. www.our-africa.org/poverty

"Federal Reserve Reform Act"

What the hell does that have to do with our policymakers refusing to stimulate the economy?    Why are interest rates still at 200 year lows today after 10 years?

"tax more than it spends, and the debt goes down"

Again, pure fantasyland that you live in Fal.  Our current tax revenue system is correlated with asset prices, what happens if you try to over tax the wealthy?  Asset prices tank and so does tax revenue.  What would happen to our current GDP if we actually had a balanced budget for the year?  Most likely go negative.

"There is enough for developed nations"

Thank you captain obvious.

It makes them better off than not having a minimum wage.  You'd have known that if you read any of the many articles in my Google search.  (I know you said you don't believe mainstream sources from Google searches, as you prefer make believe, but I don't.)

what's better for the economy?  Ten rich guys goings out to eat $1000 dinner, or 1,000 middle class guys going out to eat a $10 dinner?  I'd argue the latter, as it requires more restaurants, more servers, more cooks...

And even if you think both examples above are equal for the economy, I'd definitely argue that 1,000 people being able to afford going to go out is better than only 10 people being able to afford it.

High demand also brings in new issues, do you think all 8 billion humans could consume like the average US citizen?

Q, didn't you know raising the min wage makes everyone more wealthy? Its true just ask fal, tip or bal, etc. Too bad they never were told that in mexico, africa or other shit holes of the world. If someone would just clue them in they could legislate themselves into prosperity.

Or confiscate the wealth of the rich, they will hold still for it certainly and keep working for free. It would have worked great in communist russia, except the rich ran away. Pass a law they can't run or move their assets and poverty is solved! How could that not work?

What a crock of shit.
Mexico could definitely stand to raise the minimum wage.  It is a very prosperous country, with a higher GDP than

Reply fail?  I said many times I'm against the open borders in the EU.

I'm not in favor of open borders
Only a very small minority of liberals on this site and elsewhere want open borders

My argument has been that immigration in the US hasn't been a serious problem.

Ehh, the article qman supplied is a little dishonest in its reporting. If you click through to the source for the mass immigration claim, you will see this:

Quote:
The rapid population growth as a result of the large refugee reception last year and a childbirth approaching historically high levels puts pressure on municipalities and county councils.

The main reason for the social economy can be crippling is that we are growing more young and older in Sweden - that is, the groups that cost the most and where the tax revenues are small.

Yes, the large influx of refugees received is a partial cause, but the fact it leaves out the comments about both increasing childbirth rates and average lifespan leaves a foul taste in my mouth because it tastes like anti-immigrant tabloid more than unbiased news report.

So because there's multiple factors in the fact that the welfare state is becoming un-affordable in Sweden makes the migrant issue less significant?  I don't think so.

In fact, it makes it more significant because it clearly shows they can't afford to support others when they're struggling to support themselves.

You forgot to say "yet" but it is a problem already and will be a huge problem later if allowed to continue. Why would it be bad for the eu but not for usa? Your position is like saying sure its bad to consume a lot of lead in your diet but the little bit we have hasn't killed us... yet, so lets keep allowing third world leeches to come in. Thank goodness that for all his faults, the pres knows better than that.
