Op, #24558064, I don't think you were being unreasonable at all, if it's safe for yourself as well as your child then you have every right to go if you wanted to.

You are capable of freely making your own decisions, you are capable of understanding what is and is not safe for your unborn child, and you are capable of still being able to live your life.

This site is mostly frequented by males, and the majority of them are quite young, they don't have the experience or maturity to respond appropriately to a post regarding the struggles of a pregnant female.

You said "You sound like your trying to continue a lifestyle that you don't have the freedom to lead now that you have more important responsibilities" this goes both ways, she did not get herself pregnant and the lifestyle needs to change for both parties involved, not just the female. Both parties need to take responsibility for the situation and both parties must make sacrifices, however all to often the male in these situations seem to think that they can just leave  pregnant parter at home while they go out and live it up, then they become upset when the female wants to live a life as well.

First of all, if she and her unborn child would be safe, than she deserves to go, that's all there it to it.

A relationship involves compromise and sacrifices for both parties involved, and all to often it seems the females are getting the bad end of that deal.

She and her unborn child would have been completely fine.

It seems like the male is simply trying to generate excuses for mistreating his pregnant partner, but that's just my perspective on the situation.

For the pregnant female poster, after reading this thread I can completely understand your frustration, if this is the type of stuff you have to deal with than you have every right to he upset.
