The world is ugly everywhere

So much beauty drives people mad

I'd get into trouble drunk in Europe.  Get lost on the sauce.  Plus I'm poor and have little aspirations for risky travel.

Sisters been there.  they didn't rave much about it.

Come on, man. Do you talk like this in real life too? No one is "cloaking bigotry." I believe Viktor is advocating for strong borders in the interest of national security. Why do some liberals on this board always pull the "bigot" card? Do they have no other means of arguing?

He prolly thinks he's a dark lord of the Sith too, hahahaha!

The link to the article I posted was comparing 2015 to 2016. I think that's the most important time frame to analyze considering the flooding of African and Muslims into the EU in the past few years.

I'm sure theres a lot of "yes officer theres a black guy driving around my predominantly white neighborhood" type shit happening driving that metric.

Yeah, that massive increase in murder, manslaughter, rape, sexual and physical assaults must be those natives overreacting again.

I understand that your position is that any increase is unnecessary and therefore unacceptable.
For everyone else, i think it is important to keep perspective about how significant the rise in crime has been.
If migrants and refugees are supposedly responsible for 12% of suspected crime, that means that european natives are responsible for 88%.  That matters when we are discussing a narrative of "criminal migrant invasion"

Any claims of overreaction can be debated of course, but lets base that debate on data.

The issue is the percentage of crime RELATIVE to the specific demographic the statistics are referring to, not the total crime you seem to be so obsessed over.

If 12% of the violent crime is coming from 1-2% of a certain demographic of people living in Germany, wouldn't the massive disproportional amount of crime on a relative basis be very alarming?  YES, that's the point. I'm not sure why you're struggling with this concept.

Just? No. But, if you'll actually read my post, there is "a lot" of racism.

Why is there no gray area for you people?

Why is it that when i say "theres a lot of racism" your mind translates that to "its ONLY because of racism?"

Care to explain?

Very true.  Except migrants don't make up just 1-2% of Germany's demographics.  According to the demographic data, 9,107,893 of Germany's 80,219,695 population are migrants, or 11.4%.

Unfortunately, your link doesn't include the massive amount of migrants in 2015 (890,000) and 2016 (280,000). That's why the article I posted showed the huge difference in violent crime from 2015 to 2016.

Coming from a person who just posted sarcastically "yes officer there's a black guy driving around my predominately white neighborhood...driving that metric."

You might be right.  If we add 1,170,000 migrants to the numbers as you recommend, then 9,107,893 + 1,170,000 of Germany's 80,219,695 + 1,170,000 population are migrants, or 12.6%.

:smirk:

Way to completely dodge the question.

I can be intellectually honest about the dangers that migrants present to European citizens, why cant you be intellectually honest about the existence of racism towards migrants?

Thats a big if.  your post cited numbers for suspected crime, and i don't remember a number for violent crime at all, though obviously it must be less than suspected crime.

To answer your question, yes, if migrant crime statistics are very disproportional to their population statistics it would be alarming.  I'm just not sure how alarming.  One way to decide how alarmed to be is to compare migrant/refugee crime to overall crime.

What would it take for you guys to concede that European natives have legitimate reason to feel that mass Muslim immigration had lowered their quality of life?

Is there anything at all?

As I noted, I'm very well aware and wont hesitate to admit there are valid concerns about bringing unvetted war refugees, adhering to some varying degree of a violent theology, into one's country.

What would it take for the doom and gloomers to admit there is an undeniable element of racism propelling this anti-migrant agenda?

Of course there are legitimate concerns that come along with any large migration of people.
I didn't think that was even in dispute.
Problems arise when people start reacting to overblown concerns.

step 1: determine the problem
step 2: determine the scope of the problem
step 3: formulate reasonable responses to the problem
step 4: enact reasonable solutions.

its important not to skip steps when the stakes are high.
