Immigrants are responsible for 12% of violent crime?  And all this time you me thinking they were the ones causing most of the problems there.  :smirk:

That's not what the statistics stated, why am I not surprised you're ignoring the core issue.

Quote:
migrants and refugees were estimated to have accounted for over 12% of all suspected crimes in 2016

so you're right, the real numbers are likely to be less than 12%, and that number includes all crimes, not just violent crime, which means that violent crime will be an even smaller fraction.

"violent crime will be an even smaller fraction"

:lolwut:  How do you come up with that conclusion?

Anything to protect their flawed ideology, it's sad.

I'm a capitalist but I'll be the first person to point out capitalism's flaws, it's called being intellectually honest, something that's lacking among some people in this forum.

Again,

i think that it is safe to assume that less than 100% of suspected crimes will lead to conviction for actual crimes.
Obviously, violent crime is a sub-section of total crime, so by definition it must be a lower number than the total crime number.

so that's how i came to that conclusion.  I'm not sure what other conclusion i could have come to based off the information in your post.

"smaller fraction"

You suggested that migrants would be a smaller percentage of violent crime relative to overall crime, you have no information to lead to that conclusion and this discussion is based on percentages, not "total crime number".

i suggested that violent crime is a fraction(or percentage if you want) of overall crime.
I also suggested that "estimated" percentages of "suspected crime" might end up being overstated compared to actual percentages of actual crime.
What about that is controversial?

Either way, we all know why violent crime is up in Germany, the statistics speak volumes.

Umm no...he didnt suggest that. All he said is that violent crime is a subset of total crime. Which it is.

He stated "which means violent crime will be an even smaller fraction".

Yes, violent crime is a subset of total crime, but he claimed that migrant violent crime would be "even a smaller fraction (percentage)" relative to the general population, that's not very likely since we can see the massive increases in migrant violent crime statistics.

my claim was against the the percentage of total 'suspected" crime which is what your post was citing.

re-read what you posted, then re-read what i posted.

if that doesn't clear up your misconception about what i claimed, then i don't know that i can help you.

Suspected crime itself is an extremely dubious stat, especially when we hear about Europeans blaming migrants for shit they didnt even do all the time.

I'm sure theres a lot of "yes officer theres a black guy driving around my predominantly white neighborhood" type shit happening driving that metric.

Europe needs a saint and always has.

It's got such a damn bloody history.  Most of it is just pointless.  I don't believe in blood letting like a Nazi.  I can have a killer instinct however.

Lot's of good people possibly in Europe.  So much of the politics is empty.  It's not really our drama.

Yeah, that massive increase in murder, manslaughter, rape, sexual and physical assaults must be those natives overreacting again.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.
