Total bullshit.

Every second post of yours is whining about strawmen and then you go and claim that I am in favour of closed borders

What I am in favour of is not letting shit people in. We now have enough information to make intelligent decisions about how good different people are as immigrants.

I would only advocate closed borders for Muslims.

Isn't that done through more lending though?

No.  All money that is created by a loan disappears back out of existence when that loan is repaid.  The Fed creates new money each year to keep the inflation rate steady around 3% per year, which is also enough to cover interest payments on loans.

Anyone who, of their own free will, follows and thereby strengthens a "spiritual" tradition that commands:

> infant genital mutilation, male or female

> prejudice against gays

> prejudice against women

> supremacist beliefs such as being God's Chosen or being destined to rule the whole world

If you read bubble's article, you'd realize that not all Muslims believe in these things.

Come on, man. Do you talk like this in real life too? No one is "cloaking bigotry." I believe Viktor is advocating for strong borders in the interest of national security. Why do some liberals on this board always pull the "bigot" card? Do they have no other means of arguing?

The crazy thing is that I'm not even advocating for strong borders. I am easily more pro-immigration than the average person (because as someone with a M.A. who speaks several languages, easy immigration benefits me far more than it costs me).

All I'm saying is to not let people belonging to terrorist religions in. I have no problem with Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, Shintoists or Confucianists.

It's really not as complicated as the leftist circlejerkers here are making it sound.

You're right, sorry bubbles.  I was drinking a fair amount of rum last night and shouldn't have responded then.  :smirk:

The argument I was trying to make is that you seemed upset that some Muslims think suicide bombing can be justified, and I was wondering whether you'd also be upset if Americans felt that bombing of Foreign Countries for non defensive purposes can also be justified?

I should have referenced page 5 of the report:

which shows the general public is ok with bombing Iraq for non defensive purposes.  Don't you find that disturbing?  Or did you support it as well?  :smirk:

The trouble here, is that you're referencing data regarding American Muslims only.

Whilst I agree with you, that it's a very good thing that Muslims in the US wish for peace, I think it's a mistake and very misleading to compare this small minority of Muslims, to the Global Islamic population.

A quarter of Muslims in the US are African American. People who have converted to Islam whilst all ready being fully integrated in to American society.
In addition, the US has close to a million Shia Muslims. Shia Muslims are well regarded to be far more peaceful than their Sunni counterparts.

Sunni Muslims are the over whelming majority in Europe and the Global Muslim population respectively (80-90%). Whilst Shia Muslims on the other hand are a tiny minority of the Global Muslim populace, just (10-20%).

The US has just played the correct hand in allowing the minority of the Islamic population to it's shores that happen to be peaceful. For now at least.

As the Sunni population continues to rise due to immigration, I'm sure we'll start to see more statistics showing support for terrorism, like the 22% in the US who already support suicide bombings.

Anyway, in summary, to continue to reference this publication regarding American Muslims, like it's some how representative of Islam in Europe and the rest of the Globe, is a logical fallacy.

I love the way you "conveniently" deleted my comment about the above statements in my previous post regarding Muslims in the UK, being able to be backed up with data from trusted organizations  WTF is that all about?

Falcon91Wolvrn03 said:
Sorry, which comment?  Do you mean this one:

"We have nearly 5 million Muslims now living here, meaning that if 35% of them under 29 say suicide bombings against non Muslims can always be justified, we have nearly 1.5 million terrorists in the UK alone."

No, I was referring to may statement below the percentage figures as highlighted in bold.

"45% of British Muslims agree that clerics preaching violence against the West represent "mainstream Islam".

"48% of British Muslims would not report a person "linked to terror."

"18% of British Muslims would be proud or indifferent if a family member joined al-Qaeda".

"78% of British Muslims support punishing the publishers of Muhammad cartoons"

"40% of British Muslims want Sharia in the UK"

"74% of young Muslims prefer women wear the veil"

"68% of British Muslims support the arrest and prosecution of anyone who insults Islam"

"65% of Muslims in Europe say Sharia is more important than the law of the country they live in"

"1 in 10 British Muslims support killing a family member over "dishonor"

All of the statements above can be backed up by data from Pew and similar organizations.

Falcon91Wolvrn03 said:
If you think someone who believes a suicide bombing can be justified is a terrorist, then I get why you're so god damned scared, but that doesn't make people terrorists.  I'll bet there are a lot of people who think taking out the President (for example) can be justified.  Does that make them terrorists?  Only if they're willing to act on it, which very almost none are.

Can you back up your claim that "almost non" are willing to act on their belief's?

It only takes one person to be influenced or radicalized, to commit a terrorist attack. Imagin the conversations taking place within the Muslim community's in the UK, when we look at the above statistics.
If 35% of the Islamic population in the UK alone support suicide bombings against non Muslims, radicalization must be a very real and present threat to our national security.

I dont like France's hate speech laws, but  facebook in france should be bound by them, especially surrounding a French election.

Do you not see the irony in defending French nationalism by attacking French law? Marine has said some pretty fucking stupid things, and her father was even worse. Sure, this is probably a concerted effort to tip the scales away from Le Pen, but if you dont want your campaign hamstrung by hate speech laws, dont make hate speech a central tenet of your campaign.

"but facebook in france should be bound by them"

But is opposing immigration into France "hate speech"?  Who decides what is "hate speech"?  Does it apply to the people that call Le Pen supporters "racist" and "bigots"?  Not likely.

"especially surrounding a French election"

The timing of the election is what makes this move so obvious for all to see, why would you support that?

"effort to tip the scale away from Le Pen"

Thank you for your honestly, did you ever ask yourself why the elites would choose to do so?  Do they care about Muslims/Africans that much? :rofl2:

"don't make hate speech a central tenet of your campaign"

But both sides engage in it, I've never recovered from being called "deplorable and irredeemable".

1. If all theyre doing is opposing illegal immigration they dont have to worry about being censored on account of hate speech laws.

2. Calling someone a racist isnt racism.

3. No, the elites dont care. They just want to maintain the status quo. But being an outsider (Le Pen is hardly that) doesnt automatically make you the best choice.

4. The US doesnt have hate speech laws.

1. Depends on who is defining "hate speech". Some suggest that speaking negatively of Islam is "hate speech".

2. But is it "hate speech"?

3. The status quo being open borders with millions of third world migrants flooding into the EU.

I would guess the courts decide.

And the refugee crisis is a new phenomenon. Lets not pretend thats somehow a foundation of the EU.
