Even the Saudis have taken Syrians but they do not class them as refugees, they just give them residency...the numbers are unclear.

Considering Saudi responsibility, they are doing not enough.

Yeah you post that link every time I call you out on this claim, qman.

Its one EU chief citing supposed figures that arent available for corroboration.

If this was really the case I would think more than one authority figure would be talking about it, with maybe the facts to back it up.

What about the other Middle Eastern nations?  Or maybe most of these migrants aren't even coming from Syria, we know that for a fact.

Is it your contention that

A) most migrants arent coming from wartorn nations

Or

B) most migrants coming from wartorn nation are unaffected by those wars, thereby not being true refugees

Or both?

I could also reverse the premise and ask people to prove that ANY of these migrants are genuine refugees, but the original premise the EU officials, media and people like yourself assumed is that they're "refugees" until proven otherwise, that's also a logical fallacy.

Just because someone claims to be fleeing persecution, it doesn't mean it's true. A large amount of these people paid money to be smuggled into the EU for a better standard of living, most EU officials have acknowledged that fact.

I think the general consensus is A, people coming from poor third world nations that are completely unaffected by military operations.

I think there's also plenty of B as well, considering so many men left their women and children behind.

I think its been shown they are mostly coming from Syria but many other places too, yes.

The other Middle Eastern nations? They are taking vast numbers of refugees, what are you talking about?

I definitely thinks its more A than B as well, although probably a fair amount of both.

Its just extremely difficult to speculate on things like whether certain Syrians were truly affected by the war. There are probably migrants from non-wartorn nations affected by the war moreso than certain Syrians/Iraqis/Afghanis/Libyans.

All we had to do is set up proper vetting procedure but we shit the bed on that front, at least in the ME and the EU.

People can claim asylum even if their country isnt at war. if they flee persecution for various reasons..

I think Eritreans are fleeing an oppressive military system which basically conscripts them for life.

Yet, humans rights groups say Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and UAE just threw money at the problem while not accepting the people.

"set up proper vetting procedure"

That's a pipe dream when tens of thousands are landing at your border everyday.

This was never a logistical issue, it was a policy (open borders) issue.

Sure, anyone claim anything, that doesn't make it legitimate.

I'm going to Australia to claim persecution from Trump. :cookiemonster:

I don't recommend that. They'll put you on a prison island with all the other refugees.

Your argument 1) doesn't make sense and is just shit pulled out of your ass and 2)  should be applied to the other countries in the Middle East that aren't taking in any refugees

you are missing the point which is why 1 can't even be readily delivered as a counter-point.

2, the middle east refused to take action.

 Sweden decided to take action.

agency.

there was a crisis of conscious when the in-flux of refugees came over the EU, because of despotic terrorist rulers killing them indiscriminately in the most horrible fashions; and not all of these people were fighters, sadly.

because Poland is perfect...

it should have a stayed a vassal state. no one, ever, should have lifted a finger to help lift them out of oppression. never.

because that's just lacking common sense.

"so just ignore agreements?"

If that "agreement" includes the destruction of one's homeland, then the answer is YES!!

"because Poland is perfect"

Not perfect, but smarter than Germany, France, Italy, Sweden and others when it came to having clarity on national borders, sovereignty, national security and citizenship.

The sad thing is that guys like the Espastic, Mercuckian and Tipote will all become Nazis as soon as they sense it is fashionable to do so.

Actually, I think they understand the problems caused by immigration quite well, not the least of which is the hatred being spewn upon them by the native population.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.
